Companhia das Culturas is a Sustainable and Organic Agriturism/: 40 hectares of stone pines, cork oaks and carob trees, apricots and figs, olive oil and a vegetable garden, in the southeastern corner of the Algarve, on the neighborhood of Castro Marim Nature Reserve, 1,5km far from Praia Verde beach, 4km from the Historical village of Castro Marim and 6 km far to the Nature Reserve of Ria Formosa. The ecosystem, maintained by the small size vegetable gardens and the dry orchard agriculture, is manifested daily in the meals that we serve with products that come exclusively from the farm and our neighborhoods. With neither television nor background music, but equipped with Wi-Fi, Companhia das Culturas provides relaxing stays and nature walks. The saltwater swimming pool is open all year round, the Hamam with the essential oils from the Sierra -Gum Rockrose, lavander or marcela (gender achyrocline), offers different kinds of massages, and the Cork Box offers Yoga and Meditation.

A quiet bucolic site in the countryside. Not far from beaches and island here in Tavira. Rooms: comfortable beds, nice feather pillows. But...no windows in the bedrooms are a disadvantage especially as the area has lovely views. Not an enormous amount of services. There is a

We (two adults, one child) visited my sisters family in their appartment in CC. For sleeping on a bed-sofa and on a madrass we were charged 130 Euros per night which was by far the most overprized location during our Portugal trip. My wife did one yoga-course (which was

Dear Lars It was with astonishment that I read your comment. The apartment booked by your sister (2 adults and 3 children), although spacious has a maximum occupancy of 6 people. Because your sister showed a lot of happiness to receive your family for 3 nights, we exceptionally added two extra beds, warning that this solution did not correspond to our standard host / comfort. Speaking of values and market, paying for 2 adults and one child 130euros / night in August in the Algarve( in an architect house - duplex with 92m2 + private terrace - integrated on a farm - 40hectares), 1.5 km away from the beach, and that includes free access to the pool, Hamam, Cork Box (a room that allows all kinds of exercises - Pilates, dance, stretching, ...), and other public spaces, is clearly below the prices charged in any bathing area in Europe, including Baltic . I fully agree with you that August is not the best time to visit the Algarve, and I add any warm beach in southern Europe, but actually it is when most of the inhabitants of the northern hemisphere make holidays. We hope we can welcome you in the future, in a room suitable for your family and prove that we are always working in behalf of the well- being of the guest. Kind regards from the sunny Algarve Eglantina

This place was a highlight of a three-week tour through France, Spain and Portugal - loved the peace and quiet, the facilities and the attention to detail and design. Breakfasts were delicious and super filling. We had dinner there one night - smallish and expensive portions,

This was our first visit to Portugal, don't know why but it won't be our last. Not being 'all inclusive' or 'resort hotels' people we always try to find something more intimate and natural, and we definitely found it here. A delightful cluster of old farm buildings providing

We had a wonderfully relaxing two days here. Special mentions go to Tina, our host, who found time to take the children on adventures returning with armfuls of freshly picked figs, to Sylvia who welcomed us with open arms and to the chef who made scrambled eggs for our little
