This little boutique resort allowed me the peaceful and wonderful 2 night stay. My room, a deluxe King (no 1), offered a terrific river view, large space, great facilities and very comfy. Staffs are very kind and attention to details. Food was simple but just great. The resort located near by the famous Tham Kra Sae train station which I enjoyed jogging in the morning there. I would recommend this place for any traveler who seek for simple life, peaceful stay without any party or undesirable noise.

Pingpalee is a HIP resort hotel that is located in a great location with the best river view at Kwai Noi, Kanchanaburi. The resort has a very pleasant atmosphere, tranquil and surrounded by a green forest. Pingpalee has a limited number of rooms but each room has a different decoration and its own charm to suit the individual. Our group stayed at Villa 1, 8 and 9, each of which has a river view, an outdoor bathroom and a balcony for relaxation. The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. If you like to have your own private swimming pool, you can also book the Pool Villa, which has 2 bed rooms connected to each other. But they also have forest or garden view rooms if you prefer.
The food is delicious! Excellent services and warm hospitality from the resort owners. The resort also has karaoke room if you want to practice your singing or if you like to work out, the resort also has weight equipment available.
Overall, we recommend Pingpalee and you will absolutely fall in love with it!
All photos you see on the website are the same as ones you will see at Pingpalee. We guarantee…

Though a little tricky to find, Pingplalee resort is an extraordinarily beautiful resort on the river Kwai in Thailand. It's a relatively short drive from the Kwai river bridge and the Erewan waterfall park and surrounded by various outdoor activities including river rafting and canoeing.
The resort also features a pleasant cafe, massage parlor, and (my favorite) a karaoke cabana. In addition there is free wifi, cable tv (though only one english channel that I found), and a limited kitchen. Also, Vallee, our host is an excellent baker and serves a commendable tea in the afternoon (request the upside-down cake!).
The room we stayed in led to a patio with a couch overlooking the river. Being in a rural area in the jungle, the lodging is a bit rustic and not appropriate for people who don't appreciate a little nature; bugs and geckos roam around and though our room was relatively bug free, it's impossible to keep all the little critters outside. Additionally, living off the grid requires them to manage their own water, so guests should be respectful of their water usage and avoid epic showers and putting a lot of paper down the drain, something that might be strange to some western guests.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay immensely. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. My favorite memories are of sitting with my feet in the river watching the works float by and listening to the birds and insects calling from the forest. I'll also remember singing karaoke late into the night and seeing the stars overhead. It was a truly memorable and enjoyable stay.

If you want to escape the crazy city life or the traffic-resort life of children screaming come here! The drive firstly (as driving is your only bet) is a beautiful trip through the curvy mountain roads.
There is a moment when your phone service will disconnect because of the location, which indicates you are getting close. The drive into the resort is a bit rough, the road is cracked gravel but beautiful nonetheless.
The rooms are great, literally right in front of the river. Please do not go into the river directly as the current is very strong. I, a 80 KG male attempted it and it almost took me to Burma. They do have a little pocket deck built for this purpose so please swim in that. On top of that they have a swimming pool!
The food needs to be ordered in advance as they need to go and collect the ingredients. Please do try one of the steaks there, the portions are amazing and the taste is excellent. Would only suggest keeping the food a little hot because I felt like it was cooked in advance and it sat out.
Overall - The ambiance is amazing. Nature, birds, water… - The service and team is great. Very kind. - Room suggestion – Villa 9 (it is right by the river), except it has a little corner where anyone standing on the patio may see inside (very unlikely). If there is anything else you want to know drop me a message!

The Resort is on a quiet corner of the river. The feeling of peace and relaxation is immediate from check-in. The check-in process was more of a hello over a cup of tea and some cookies and then we were taken to our room. Everything was as expected with many things being better than expected. Some examples were the free Wi-Fi internet, dinner cooked exactly to requirement and the very gentle and thoughtful service. On the subject of food; the Mushroom soup, many people report is excellent and we ordered pork steak, which was also cooked very well, and was tender and delicious. One point is that you need to order your food a number of hours in advance and you cannot change your order at the last minute. That didn't worry me or my family. The resort is a beautiful place and the design of the villas is very thoughtful, with a great attention to detail. The first photo I have added was a shot I took from the front door of the villa, just after I woke up.

I just spent two nights on Villa 2 which is the best riverside room of Pingplalee. GPS is highly recommend to use to go into their.
The room is beautiful decoration with nice balcony. Service is very good from both owner and a service guy. You can swim in the river within a small cage that make you safe (I've only drop my foot in it water is too cold for me). I spent most of time at the Balcony. The Bathroom also good but there is no hot water at the bathtub and the water is too cold to use it. It's very quiet at night, no sound and light pollution.
There are only few foods served inside the resort if you want steak for a dinner you have to order before check-in.

We spent 7 days there - great kind and polite staff - the owner couple was very nice too. All rooms very clean. We could relax very good. All rooms and the garden installed with love. We enjoyed the warm feeling. The resort is located very good between Kanchanabury City and Erawan and Sai Yok National park. We can recommend this Resort to all people!
