Stayed late January 2017. Nice simple rooms, which offers great value for money. We went for the upper floors, and had a beautiful view of the town and surrounding mountains. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Only comment is the breakfast, which is very uninspiring, with toast and jam. The coffee is great though! Would definitely stay again.

I stayed as part of an Intrepid tour and many of these reviews seem to be of rooms of a far different standard than I was in. The bed was so rock hard that I swapped with my tour guide. The shower was luke warm. The wifi was free but slow. The TV didn't work.

I spent one night there on a mountain bike trip. It's nice and clean, recently renovated and has a decent view (not breathtaking, but still pretty good). The rooms feel large, with plenty of space around the bed. I'm globally pleased with my stay there. If you're looking for a place for dinner, the owner can recommend a very nice...

This is a nice place to stay. The owner is very friendly & talkative. The new building has a fantastic outlook & although the fog was too heavy to see the sunrise, the view the previous evening was spectacular. We enjoyed a 20 baht hot cocoa in the restaurant. No air conditioning was provided which we think is great because...

The room was spotless and so big oas well, shower had the best pressure we've seen in Thailand! The hotel is all made of concrete and the furniture is all wooden so it has a...

Am a bit confused as to pricing as Agoda says $167 a night ... this is the Agoda window on Trip Advisor. We paid 600 Baht a night in the new section which is effectively a large concrete guest house overlooking the original cottages. This new section had just been completed and with a coat of paint would come up...

I live in Chiang Mai and have stayed at this guesthouse three times. Remember, hotels in Thailand are like a box of chocolates -- you never know what you're going to get. So I like this one because you can walk two blocks to the morning market for tribal people at 6:30am, explore the town in either direction, and also...

“In the morning, visit the morning market as suggested by the guesthouse owner. It had the usual array of delights of the Thai markets, especially the local markets that are not aimed at tourists. (There were only a couple of other non-residents there when we were). It was friendly and fun mixing with the 'real' people of the area without the usual masses of tourists.”
