What a lovely place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day break, which was helped by the beautiful weather. Our room was delightful with some lovely features, the Bush radio, nice toiletries, tea and coffee with biscuits and fresh milk on request. The food in the restaurant and the bar was exceptional, helped with a great wine menu and...

Located in a very quiet place and the inside is better than the outside. My room was a good size for 2 nights stay. Came with a good size TV plus a radio. Good quality bed(slightly soft) and room was very clean. Good size bath and everything in the room is what you needed. WiFi worked well. Had a breakfast...

Fantastic food great setting too. Will definitely be going again. Only problem I had was they stopped doing the full menu at 2.30 and went to a smaller menu. If the kitchen is open then why not serve what is asked for. Don't let this put you off great food and great staff.

I was taken there for lunch by a friend. It was the first time we had been there and were not sure what to expect. The building itself is very old and impressive even from the outside. It is a very old coaching inn set in a wooded valley. There is plenty of parking and an overflow car park for...

It was my 25th birthday of 21st of August. Me and partner regularly stay away for little treats and this was the most beautiful/stunning place. The building its self was beautifully restored by the owner and his wife ( who works at site as well I believe ) set in countryside of Halifax. This place really is stunning. On arrival...

We had a celebration meal with 6 friends recently, we ate upstairs in the dining room. The service was excellent, the staff attentive and the food was amazing. The quality of the food was outstanding and the sticky toffee pudding is to die for. I didn't mind that I would be wearing it for a month! The atmosphere in the...

Booked in at the Shibden Mill Inn for afternoon tea, to celebrate a friends birthday today but was quite disappointed. We were booked in for 3pm but despite asking twice the food wasn't served until 3.50pm. I rang up prior to our visit to order no fish sandwiches for two of our party but unfortunately this was completely disregarded. I...
