The hummingbird feeders and fruit tray for the other birds make this a fabulous place for birdwatchers. The balcony is lovely with a nice breeze and view. We stayed there for hours watching the birds with our binoculars. The breakfasts were good, too. I enjoyed the pool and slept well in the simple but comfortable room. We thought it might...

We arrived by car and found the hotel up a slope on the right as you enter the village. There was a large parking area for us to park our rental car. The hotel is actually an old convent set in nice grounds. The rooms are therefore simply furnished and decorated but are clean. They're shady and maybe a little...

We were so lucky to stay in Minca in Minca Hotel. First of all the location is great, you don't need to climb uphill with your luggage as in general Minca is very hilly. Second of all, receptionist lady was extremely nice - she helped us literally with everything: organized all the trips, taxis, tours, etc and she spoke perfect...

Right up our Alley! My husband and I were traveling around Colombia and decided to add Minca to our list last minute. While in Cartagenga, my husband and I began to search for accommodations in Minca. Our wifi was limited and we were due to get back on the road in the morning. Lina, the Director of Hotel Minca, responded...

Stayed one night, and popped in one afternoon to watch the hummingbird feeders. Food 10/10. Staff excellent, and helpful. Lovely building too. Would recommend to all. Very comfortable room, clean, quiet and relaxing.

When planning our trip to Cartagena from Chicago, my girlfriend and I wanted to get to the mountains. We knew we had to get to Minca and did an extensive search for lodging. We decided we are at a place in our lives that no longer wants to stay at hostels. Minca has a few hotels and we decided to...

This hotel was great. The rooms were basic but you don't need much when in Minca. The grounds were amazing with hammocks everywhere for you to relax in. A communal area with a wrap around balcony that has the most amazing view of the Sierra Nevada.

Not the cheapest in town but good value for money. It was a nice break from hostals for us and we enjoyed the comfortable rooms plus the hammocks on the colonial terraces. The staff were most helpful and with good english and the breakfast on the terrace watching all the humming birds was special.

This hotel is probably the place to be if you want to have a middle class option in Minca. It has adequate and clean rooms, although they could use some maintenance. The building is an old monastery and that shows with nice arcs and views. The restaurant and the food is okay. The whole place has a very nice and...

This is the best hotel in the town of Minca. It is good because of this, since Minca is about 45 minutes away from the nearest city (Santa Marta.) Staying in Minca is really your best option if you want to stay a couple of days to take full advantage of the different trails and activities. The hotel is a...
