If you are looking for a place to relax, this is it! The hosts will make you feel at home, the restaurant is excellent and the views from the room or restaurant terrace are incomparable. If you are up for some horseback-riding they can accommodate a nice tour to the surrounding plains and river. Best part is, the hotel is...

My wife and I stayed at Nirvana Restaurant & Retreat as a way of celebrating our completion of our third and final "semester" of our Spanish language program at Habla Hispana in San Miguel. Our experience could not have been more pleasurable and satisfying. Our room ("Amor") was in the middle range in cost. It was located down a short...

Nirvana was heaven on earth.... the perfect escape from the noise of the city, exquisite weather, gorgeous gardens and pool, excellent food, deep sleep and even some spa pampering. We felt like we had been on an extended vacation after just two nights at Nirvana! Thank you Juan Carlos!

My husband and I just got back from a weekend at the Nirvana Restaurant and Retreat. The retreat is beautiful, more like a farm/ranch outside of town, but very close by if you want to go out for dinner or a drink at San Miguel. The owners Juan Carlos and Ana Laura are amazing hosts and make you feel very...

We had some of the best food we have had in Mexico, over many trips and many years. The grounds are incredible and the rooms could...

We experienced our 50th wedding anniversary with our families (adults and grandchildren). Convenient to San Miguel - beautiful and cultural city. Juan Carlos and his wife, Anna, went beyond our expectations in making our visit pleasant - staff, food, cleanliness, etc., etc. Would definitely return. Loretta & David - California

We stayed at Nirvana for a family reunion, some of us from NYC and some of us from Los Angeles. The rooms and grounds are spectacular -- a lush tropical paradise. Swimming in the 90 degree thermal pool, riding horses with the experienced trainers, playing with the dogs, and hiking/mountain biking on beautiful trails...an unforgettable experience. It was a great...
