We rent the Ravine cottage , for 2 nights - it has 3 bedrooms, and separated ( 10 meters ) from others cottages . If you move the dining table you can have a nice view on the country side , and see the kangaroos while you are dining .As the others cottages where not rented , we were total...

We loved our stay at Bolganup homestead. We booked with extremely short notice and were welcomed with happy faces. We loved how peaceful, scenic and historic the homestead was. There was so much space, you could easily bring the whole family. Facilities were great, a beautiful fireplace, heaps of blankets, ample kitchen utensils, even a few videos and a puzzle...

Stayed in Fernbrook over Easter. Very comfortable renovated one (or three) bedroom self contained unit under the roof of this historic homestead. Bed very comfortable and loved being able to leave our French doors open at night. Enjoyed the wood fire and sitting on our private section of the verandah as we observed the birds and kangaroos. Fabulous position bordering...

Five of us stayed here for the May long weekend. The accomodation is perfect for a countryside weekend getaway, and a glass of wine in front of the fire. It was a great base to stay and head off to climb Bluff Knowl (and others), explore the Porogorups, do a day trip to Albany and explore the national park. The...

2 families, 6 people shared the Fernbrook cottage. We were greeted upon arrival by the owners and were taken on a very enjoyable tour of the farm by Kingsley. Originally we were just planning on making this a super-quick stop on our tour of the Albany area, but once there, we had a hard time leaving. The farm is absolutely...

Seven family members shared two 'cottages' in this beautiful spot, with a stunning backdrop of the Porongorup Ranges in a very quiet location, and a lovely garden and abundant birds. The cottage and homestead rooms were well fitted out, very clean and well maintained, with linen and good quality bath products supplied. A colder night than expected in November was...

A group of friends stayed in Ravine Cottage. A well appointed self-catering historic farm house. The weather was wet & wintery but we were warm & cosy with a lovely wood fire going. Nearby to good wineries & the scenic Porongorup Ranges, an ideal place for bush walkers, bird watchers & those wanting peace & quiet. A small shop just...

I used to own a farmstay in NSW (albeit at the top end of the market) but I do understand that country accommodation can vary greatly. That said, some attention to guests' needs, especially in the middle of winter, would have made a huge difference. Obvious flaws - like one electric heater for half a cottage and no heating at...

This is the male half writing this review... I went down to stay here on the 15th of November 2013 for 2 nights. Myself and 2 friends had gone to do some rock climbing and we chose the Ravine cottage because it had 3 rooms. We did want some privacy. The cottage was great, clean and presentable. It had a...

“Out of Ravine and Burnley, Burnley was best for bed and bathroom access with no steps for elderly mother. Ravine has a step in shower and a few small one step access to rooms.”
