Our sons arranged this for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. The inn is family owned, very old and full of character. Our room was small but amply big enough for getting around in my wheelchair. It was beautifully furnished with antique furniture and the four poster bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was, again, furnished with antiques and was very genuinely...

We visited last weekend and were fortunate/lucky enough to be accommodated in the Georgian town house about 20/30 yards away from the restaurant, which has only been open for a short while...................we were put in the Gilleberg room...............FANTASTIC!!!! If I could I would have lifted it up and taken it back home with me...............................it was the most beautiful, calm room...

The room we had was in a separate building 20 yards up the road. We were told they had only started using the room earlier that week. The room was not very big but was very thought out and comfortable. The bathroom was very good with a huge range of Moulton Brown toiletries. Breakfast was excellent

I booked for my husbands birthday, both rooms and the tasting menu. Booking was efficient, asking about dislikes and providing options for the stay. The week before a follow up email with travel information to counter the shortfalls of the sat-nav. On arrival we were shown to our room, tastefully decorated with period furniture, a fantastic bathroom and Molton Brown...

I stayed here with my wife in one of the four poster rooms. The room was beautiful with a half bottle of champagne chilled awaiting on arrival as part of our package. The weather on arrival was terrible but the outside terrace on Sunday morning was delightful in full blown sun. Real shame we had to check out by 10:30...

Excellent food and service - as ever .... however they need to invest in a broader range of background music :-) one can only take so much of Paolu Nutini, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Moby on shuffle .... I expect a new playlist when we return in summer !

Its not often you come across a place that has it all. Tucked away in a little hamlet in pretty countryside is this gem of a place. On arrival we were shown to our lovely room, decorated with style, classic with a modern feel and a fabulous en suite. Lots of thoughtful extras too. Our warm welcome was just the...

My husband and I stayed here with another couple for a short break. The Black Swan is fabulous, the staff highly attentive (but not in your face) very knowledgable and friendly. The rooms we were allocated were superb, immaculate and quirky, and everything provided that you could possibly need. We all had the 9 course taster menu .... We have...
