Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not too bad accommodation. Bed linen and towels were clean but room itself was needing a thorough clean, floor was ok but corners, windows, shower etc needs attention. Staff were friendly, welcoming and the Roadhouse itself has loads of food and goods options. I stayed in a motel unit #7 which was closest to road but road noise was a non issue. What was an issue was 2nd night additional guests were noisy, smoking in their rooms, and tv on till late so room insulation is not so flash. I had a beef burger which was excellent but avoided other items due to prices. No wifi be aware and no cell ph coverage from Kununurra onwards to Wolf Creek. Halls Creek has free wifi if you park outside its Information Centre (which although advertised as open is not opening during the week at present). If you want to save .30c + a litre on fuel then Kununurra is best only $1.87 for diesel vs Roadhouse prices. I will post a separate article on Tanami Road FYI. Overall this place saved me $80 per night vs Halls Creek but it is ultra basic accommodation so don’t expect too much and you will be sweet as!

A good overnight stop spot and the cheapest powered site so far. The Roadhouse is well stocked and staff were friendly. The amenities block is very tired and could do with a few more toilets. It is quiet at night even though next to highway but a good place for a stopover.

Stayed overnight. Power and water. Friendly staff. Slept really well no noise. As mentioned in the title it’s a Roadhouse. You cannot expect or complain when it’s not five star. It is what it is. There are no manicured lawns. We never went to the swimming pool. Ammenities clean. Would use as an overnighter again.

Warmun (Turkey Creek) Roadhouse. Zero stars. Very disorganised. We arrived in 2 caravans and were told we were lucky that we got the last 2 sites only to find out there was only one site left in the so-called Caravan Park. Whilst there was ample space in front of the roadhouse for a caravan, staff were unwilling to provide a solution to the problem they had created. Our very frustrated travelling companions were eventually offered a refund and were given a sarcastic comment, from the manager, of "you have a lovely evening". If we had left with them, we would have lost 100% of the money we paid as the site we were allocated was available. I was told this was inline with their cancellation policy, of which there was nothing to advice people regarding this so-called policy. The ablutions block was disgustingly filthy and very rundown. Whilst the staff were friendly enough, the manager had no customer service skills and had an arrogant and belligerent demeanour. Additionally, the price of diesel was 35 cents a litre more than the Doon Doon Roadhouse which is 100 kms further North. Their caravan sites are cheaper and the surroundings and amenities are 5 star. My advice is to avoid the Warmun Roadhouse and the manager from hell.

Heidi and Paul and all the staff were very welcoming. We had a breakdown with the caravan they were helpful with RACQ and accommodating. The food was awesome. I recommend staying here but make sure you have Telstra phone as there is no mobile coverage for other networks.

We stopped at the inn for a night with our 3 children on the way back to Broome out of necessity. The room provided was filthy with dust everywhere and litter under the bed. The airconditioning system smelt of mould and the septic system vent seemed to be immediatley outside our door. There appeared to be a small blood stain on the floor that I cleaned on arrival. The entire place was poorly maintained and there were no openable windows. The blind did not work. We left as soon as possible the next morning.

Stopped here to do the Bungle Bungles. First night ok, however second night our car was broken into (smashed window to gain entry). A disappointing end to what was a great couple of days. Would not recommend due to security concerns.

Really enjoyed Turkey Creek as our base for exploring the Bungle Bungles and the amazing art work in the Warum art gallery. The caravan park was friendly and provided all the necessary facilities, including the base for our helicopter flight over Osmond Ranges and Bungle Bungles

We stayed here for one night after a day in the Bungle Bungles. The roadhouse itself is good, the food in the dine in was really good - my partner said the beef Warmun Burger was amazing! The cabin we stayed in was a standard queen for $150, it wasn't spacious but was big enough. To me it seemed like a donga but with an en suite and power. The bed was comfy, although on rollers and on a tiled floor so kept moving! Given the location, in the middle of nowhere it seemed to us, this is a very welcome place to stay!

Location 4/5 Located approx. 200 km from Kununurra but is the closest NON-camping accommodation to the Bungle Bungles (Purnululu) National Park. Only 55 km to where Bungle Bungle coach trip leaves from.
Sleep Quality 4/5 Comfortable bed and no/very little road noise even though on highway. Noisy fridge.
Rooms 3/5 Self-Contained room is fairly small with old worn lino floor (no carpet out in the outback for obvious reasons). Very limited pots and pans, 2 element hotplates. No dish cloth for washing up (we used clean face washer). Only 1 indoor chair and no indoor table (probably due to lack of space). Fridge needs defrosting and our ice bricks did not freeze on the night we really needed them to. Ceiling fan did not work BUT neat and clean. Minerals in the water.
Service 5/5 Very helpful and friendly service
Value 4/5 At $170 is not cheap but have rated it based on its remote location.
Cleanliness 5/5 There are mineral stains in some of the taps but we assume they have bore water so it is to be expected. Water tasted fine.
Overall 4/5 Based on its remote location and other places we have stayed in that are remote like this one.
