We visited the Samaya as the 2nd hotel on our trip (1st was Fairmont Singapore and 3rd Alila Seminyak) as a family with our 13 year old daughter. From the minute we arrived the experience was great. The location is amazing, set in the middle of a rainforest and rice fields, just 15 mins from central Ubud. Very unique. The service from all members of the team, check in, restaurants, spa and activity guide for the morning hike was one of the best levels of service we have received anywhere in the world. The hillside villas was just tranquil, very clean and authentic with a private pool that had all Day sun. The food at the restaurant was always perfect and they were so accommodating to my daughters request for simple food. The Bali produced white wine was also good, definitely recommend trying this. We stayed for just 2 nights, a 3rd night May have been helpful to see more of the central town but 2 for us was perfect before we moved onto Seminyak. We used the spa for reflexology, best I’ve had (and I’ve tried a few) and we did the morning hike through the rainforest and local village - this is a must. We’ve been lucky as family to travel lots, if your visiting Bali and want to experience something different to the beach then this hotel is great. We stayed here again for three nights this month. We were here in 2019 just before lockdown. We loved it then so decided to come back. No regrets. Just as amazing. We had a hillside view this time which was stunning. We had a ‘welcome back’ cake left in the fridge for us. Every attention to detail is given. The spa was great, I had a massage and reflexology which was fantastic. The food.. what can I say.. amazing!! Swept away is probably where I have had the best food ever! The hotel driver took us into Ubud for the market. No charge. Great service. Staff are all fantastic and the hotel manager takes time to come and have a chat. We are hoping to go again in a few years time when we retire. If you want looking after and a relaxing holiday this is the place to go.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous holiday in Bali. We stayed 3 nights at the Samaya, which was really fantastic. We were treated to beautiful accommodation and excellent service. We could have happily stayed longer and would be delighted to return. It was a fabulous location for a relaxing family holiday with access to Ubud for shops, restaurants and other activities including white water rafting and quad biking. The Samaya would also be perfect for a romantic holiday.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The resort is situated in a valley with villas spread out on hills which means we could ask the reception to send a buggy to take us around the resort. The breakfast was at a restaurant which overlooked a beautiful valley with vibrant green colour. The staff were very friendly with warm smiles. We took advantage of the complementary body massage and yoga session by experts. The manager Mr Mahendra took personal interest in our comfort and made us very welcome Overall an excellent hotel for couples.

WOW! what a hotel this is! We stayed here as our first stop on our honeymoon for 3 nights, it was incredible. From the private pool villa - the fine dining food this place was amazing, we wished we had of booked this stay for longer. The staff were so good and helpful, the grounds were so clean and tidy. We even got driven in a golf cart to & from our villa every day. And The river the runs past the restaurant os the perfect setting for evening meals. We were lucky enough to be given a local taxi driver’s number which we book for the full day for £30, he took us everywhere and waited for us the entire time. After a long journey it felt like heaven arriving in the Samaya. Wonderful food at the Swept Away restaurant, a villa with private pool and cosy garden spaces and staff that were enthusiastic to meet your every need. We had a special welcome as it was our honeymoon and a Balinese massage included overlooking the beautiful river which flows through the resort. The best place we've ever been and hope to revisit again one day.

We visited Ubud as our first location in Bali as we wanted to explore the sight’s of Bali. The Samaya which has 19 luxury villas did not disappoint, upon arriving late the hotel upgraded us to the Villas overlooking the Ayung River, which was amazing. The property location is set in a hillside within a rainforest which also overlooks a spectacular rice field and each villa has a private swimming pool. It’s just 15 mins away from the centre of Ubud and the hotel provide a free shuttle service throughout the day, which I would recommend. We booked massages and facials in the spa which overlooked the river, this was one of the best treatments we have had. The service from every member of staff was outstanding and the restaurant food was incredible. The Samaya went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was amazing and that it was the ideal way to begin our holiday when visiting Ubud. I would highly recommend staying at the Samaya. The Samaya Ubud offers an exquisite experience. We went there for 3 nights on our honeymoon and we couldn’t be more touched by the Balinese hospitality and the beautiful nature surrounding the hotel. It was truly a one of a kind experience! The staff came out to greet us each time we left and returned to the hotel. The hotel manager Mr. Putu was kind enough to catch up with us several times during our stay. We had the pleasure of trying the Swept away restaurant for dinner and it was amazing. Not to mention, the delicious menu for breakfast where we tried different varieties each morning. The staff also arranged a free photoshoot session for us which we really enjoyed. Thank you for making it a memorable Balinese experience! Highly recommended!

A magical, amazing, experience with the most gorgeous, breathtaking views, even with these words they can never be enough to express our feelings. Starting with a very warm welcome to an exceptional staffs who always welcomed us to food times with a gorgoeus smile and information about what happens around the island. Unfortunately we can't remember and take all the names of the members of staff but, they gave us an extraordinary time with the best hospitality possible, a smile and greet always on their faces wherever and whenever we passed them.
