Have stayed at Robertson Hotel for overnight stays previously. Room always well presented, clean, tidy with good facilities and most comfortable. All staff polite and welcoming. Had evening meal at Hotel which was excellent. Included breakfast was also very tasty with good choice. Would recommend especially for short stay.

A friendly welcome, a comfortable, well equipped room. Lovely evening meal with good service and an excellent breakfast. A great place for a stopover but equally good for a longer stay when you could make use of the snug to read a book and the lounge area for a quiet drink with friends. Great for a golf break or visiting...

My parter and I decided to escape the kids for the night and headed to the borders and fell upon this place. I booked online half an hour before we arrived but all details were in place and we were warmly welcomed. We had dinner in the bar, lovely food and excellent value followed by coffee and drinks in the...

We booked direct and got a better price than through a booking site, an old quirky building with creaks and odd little steps which add to its charm. The room was large with everything we needed including toiletries, heating you can adjust to suit, hairdryer, iron+ board, ample hospitality tray and bottled water. There was so much choice at breakfast...

It is an excellent hotel with very friendly people. The food is very fresh and rooms are great. We usually take traditional Scottish breakfast which is very good and sirloin in dinner is always excellent quality. We simply feel like at home. Thank you very much!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Everyone was so friendly, the food was excellent, everywhere was clean. The room could have been a bit bigger, but it was cosy The internet worked well. Maybe a slight disadvantage is that there are a lot of steps in the house.

We would highly recommend this hotel for both meals and accommodation. Extremely family friendly. The proprietor Ray is superb with children, he even occupied my 10 week old upset baby while we are our meals. Both Ray and Jan are very welcoming and really polite and funny. I would definitely recommend families to stay here especially with young children. We...

4th year visit and the standard is still very high and represents value for money. The restaurant is very popular and the menu is varied and food is good quality. The hotel has a very comfortable lounge area which is always used. Many hotels get this wrong and the areas are sterile. The Robertson have made this both comfortable and...

I've stayed here a few times now on business and always had a warm welcome. Rooms very comfortable, evening meals super and probably the best breakfast selection I've seen! I'll continue to choose this as my first choice when travelling
