Our family room eas spacious, modern and clean. As we were across the road from the lake and paved walkways, we were able to walk along the lake at sunrise and sunset. The staff incredibly helpful when we needed to sort out some car problems.

We stayed here for a week over Christmas with our family of five in a Family Suite.
Upon arrival we were easily able to find a park, our room was spotless and spacious.
The kids had a separate room with a queen bed and a single bed. The staff were friendly and helpful but also happy to leave us to our own devices if we didn't need help.
All of the beds were extremely comfortable and the staff helped us after hours when we had a sick child and needed extra bedding.
The pool area is beautiful with a fantastic bbq area and patio furniture so parents can comfortably watch the kids in the pool.
I definitely recommend The Esplanade Motel for anyone needing accommodation in Warners Bay!

Stayed one night at the Esplanade Motel while my husband was in hospital.
The staff were welcoming and friendly and check in was easy.
The motel has recently been renovated. The room was lovely, clean and tidy as well as nicely appointed.
Nice pool area with BBQ and seating. There is also a Japanese Restaurant which was well patronised.
It is great that there is a tunnel under the road just near the motel so I went for a lovely walk along the edge of Lake Macquarie and watched the sunset.
The room is well appointed with a microwave, crockery and cutlery, smart TV and a very quiet air conditioner.
There is a coffee van at the entrance of the motel and there coffee is great.

Liked:
The beds were very comfy with clean, soft bed sheets. The wifi was brilliant. Helpful staff.

Disliked:
Very old building. Huge gaps under the main door, cheap furniture - a chair broke when my husband sat on it (he is average weight) and discovered it was missing screws. Power points on one side of bed didn’t work. No power points at all in kids’ room except one up higher than the door. To their credit, the manager was friendly and tried to fix the broken power point and also brought in a new chair, but the whole place is pretty run down. The shower drain is inexplicably loud and even the toilet was wobbly. We stayed in much cheaper places that were much nicer on our trip.

Matey's, the coffee van at the front of the property, was really good and had great coffee and friendly staff. The hotel was in a good location and the rooms and beds themselves were okay, but that's where the positives ended.

We stayed here over Easter, and we had two separate rooms and both had issues. In one room the bathroom stank of you had the light and fan on... so you had to use the shower and toilet in the dark. The shower in the other room had no pressure and was too hot or just plain cold. Room servicing was practically non-existant with toilet paper almost running out and bins overflowing. In short? Not happy and would not stay at the property again. And our non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke.

Booked here last minute. I was a bit worried when I drove in, as I thought it looked a bit old. However, the rooms have been renovated to modernise it a lot. The room itself was generous size. I really liked the selections of the in house movie channels. Good quite air conditioner. I really like ceiling fans but, A/C's get too cold in the middle of the night and sometimes it helps just to have the air moving around.

I dont know why, but I recently checked my bank statement and there is a $1.00 charge for reasons I dont really know about. Perhaps someone might send me a message, before I ring.

I would also say that if you undertake maintenance, it needs to be done and finished. In room 28 above the mirror there was repair work that needed sanding and painting. Looks a bit tacky left unfinished.

I never leave reviews to be honest but I am Very disappointed with my stay in the Esplanade. We got back from dinner and there was a huge huntsman spider on the wall. We spent one hour trying to catch him as I have a massive phobia. There was also 2 cockroaches crawling under quite a big gap in the main door to our room. (So probably where the spider got in !! ) . My boyfriend spent ages trying to catch the spider . When he took the bed board away from the wall there were four massive size holes In the wall! The spider probably got in here either !!!
We paid 150 dollars for a night so expected a higher standard then this. It is unhygienic and unsafe - what else could have got into the room!!??
I informed the girl working behind the desk the next morning and showed her the picture of the massive spider and asked her to have the mangers call me. I said I didn’t want a refund but I wanted to make them aware of this! Nobody has bothered to call or email me so I felt it was necessary to leave this review. Would not recommend.

We line in Egland and were visiting family who live in the area and had initially booked into a different motel, however, on arrival there it became apparent that it was very sub standard.

We had passed the Esplanade on the way so with fingers and toes crossed we landed at their reception with such a serious look of desperation that the lovely receptionist took pity on us!

She managed to fit us into the motel for two nights, however, it was fully booked for the other seven. Just when I thought we would be looking for a comfy bench for the rest of our stay, she advised us that she had a two bedroomed apartment available for the rest of our stay! We were the first couple to be staying in it.

The room at the motel was very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. There was good attention to detail and I would definitely recommend.

The apartment was over three floors and very well presented. It was clean, tidy, private, and perfect for what we wanted. A home from home. We could not have asked for better.

Although we were very pleased with the accommodation, the reason for writing this review is because of the fantastic service we received. Both ladies we spoke to were so helpful. There was no way we could have stayed in our pre booked motel and without their help I don't know what we would have done. They turned what was a very upsetting situation round and I cannot thank them enough!

We will definitely be back! The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the room had a cosy feel to it, with arm chairs and an extra single bed. Bathroom had a rainwater shower head and was freshly renovated to a good standard. Didn't try the Tepanyaki restaurant upstairs, but the caravan cafe on the street had great coffee and light snacks for breakfast / lunch.

Lovely little Motel. We arrived late and the instruction to get the key were text through and all ran smoothly. There is a coffee van in site and being in room 1 we found is quite noisy, especially when they were banging the used grinds out just outside our windows. Great location for the event we were going too and I would love to stay again and eat at the on site tepenyaki restaurant.
