Had an awesome two day break with personalized service, great food and all we could have wished for. Even with a fair amount of rain there was still lots to do and enjoy. For birders, spending a few hours in the bird hide at the dam is a must.

Of all the places I've ever been to, I have never met such genuinely friendly, welcoming, and dedicated staff. From the food to the decor and everything in between, we were treated like old friends from the moment we arrived, even though it was our first time here. It was our first time ever visiting Thaba Khaya, but it most...

Within easy reach of Pretoria and Johannesburg. Access is via a 5km of very bad gravel road. Thereafter all is great. Lovely welcome with wet face cloths and a drink. We got a brief introduction to the facilities and routine. We had the Luxury accommodation option which is considerably larger than the Standard room, with a private balcony. The food...

Only 1,5 hour drive from Pretoria, this gem on a 3000 Ha game farm is a place to remember and to visit. Sure it is not the cheapest, but the food and service is of very high quality. The staff go out of their way to ensure your stay will be remembered. The food is designed and prepared by a...

If you looking for a relaxing mini break, Thaba Khaya is definitely the place to go. Everything is spotless & staff go beyond the call of duty to meet & satisfy the guests needs. The drinks are reasonably priced & bottled water is free.

I could only spend a night at the beautiful Thaba Khaya Lodge as I was on a work trip but I felt so welcome and well taken-care of that it felt like a vacation. The people there are delightful. I also really enjoyed learning about those rare antelopes and other animals and also about the whole breeding business. I hope...

Whilst staying in Johannesburg on business I wanted to get out of the city and enjoy the countryside for 24 hrs. When you do a search on the web you have much choice but don't really know what's good and what isn't. I chose here and I am so pleased I did. Firstly easy to get to from JNB -...

Apart from struggling a bit in finding the Lodge, there was absolutely nothing else to complain about. The Lodge is beautifully set and the grounds are very well kept. The management and staff are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. Our room was wonderful and had a good view on a watering hole where we saw quite...

What a smashing place to stay! I've spent much time in the deep bush and anyone on here saying it's too close to civilisation needs to take a knee! If you want proper bush then take a tent and a rifle and go to Bots in the delta etc but if you want a wonderful break in a stunning tucked...
