We tour Europe a LOT by car each year. Luc and Florence's place is by far the best small hotel/B&B we have ever stopped in. It has a fantastic location, the VERY old building is tastefully decorated and furnished with a modern twist. The Breakfast is very very good and massive! They are excellent hosts, always ready to help without...

Chateau du Balazuc: any B&B that has toilet paper of this quality - has to be the best! Florence and Luc would be the best B&B hosts that we have ever come across in all of our travels over the past 10 years or so. They made us feel so welcome and genuine in wanting to share their 11-13th century...

Dear Jan and Kerry, thank you so much for this lovey review ! We are always very happy to receive guests coming from the end of the world to discover our beautiful region. And especially when they are from New Zealand. We enjoyed this country very much when we went there ten years ago. Come back to see us!

The Chateau de Balazuc is absolutely stunning, everything about it was superb. The hosts, Luc and Florence were such wonderful hosts, very accommodating, charming and really took their time to get to know their guests. My mother has celiac disease and can not eat wheat or gluten and Florence prepared her special foods that she could eat during breakfast and...

Dear Tamar, Those days we spent with you were very nice and we were pleased to present our beautiful region to your parents. Like me, they have experienced difficult times and their empathy really touched me... I hope we will have the opportunity to see you all again.

We stayed in July in this beautiful property, the hosts were charming and most welcoming. They really make you feel at home in this enchanting place. The room was very confortable although it was a very hot summer, there is a small unexpected pool on the castle ground, which is perfect to cool down after walks in this beautiful region....

This is one of the best places we've stayed at in France. Luc and Florence are wonderful hosts who take the time to get to know their guests at both the 7pm wine tastings and breakfast. Their small chateau / castle is an eclectic blend of 12th/13th century architecture and modern amenities. A spa and small lap pool step it...

Thanks very much, Sue and Glenn, for your nice review. It was a real pleasure to meet you, and we learned a lot about wine and beer in our conversations during the aperitif. We don't know if you'll come again. Of course, California is not to close to the Ardèche, but we would be very happy to meet you again...

Balazuc is an absolutely charming village perched up high with a commanding view over the valley below. The river Ardeche at the bottom is very popular for swimming and canoeing in summer. However, the real treat is to stay at the Chateau de Balazuc with Florence and Luc, the most welcoming of hosts we have ever encountered. They are enthusiastic...

This bed and breakfast place has it all : 10th to 12th century classified fortress buiding, breathtaking views and super friendly and attentive owners. I am 66 years old and I have visited places around the world for both business and leisure. Without hesitation I give Chateau de Balazuc my top rating in the bed and breakfast category.

We spent several extremely enjoyable days at the chateau. Luc and Florence are wonderful hosts and our room and the facilities were first class. Our room the Chambre des Buis had a lot of character, having been tastefully converted from a vaulted ceilinged room under the main chateau, and was comfortable and well appointed. The small pool was a godsend...

The location, incredible and thoughtful renovation to this wonderful castle is of course part of why you would visit this place, but after having done so - I can say that it wouldn't have the same atmosphere at all if it wasn't for the owner / hosts, Luc & Florence, whom make you feel like you've stepped into their home...
