The time we spent in the ecolodge was the best we had on our trip. First I want to mention that the fact that this is a lodge where the money is going to the right people is true. There are no doubs that this is not one of the places who prentend to be something their not. The hikings...

I booked madidi ecolodge through intrepid travel. It was an incredible experience. We did at least 4 hikes and tubing. The guide Alejandro Alvarez was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The accommodation itself was clean, environmentally friendly and comfortable. All staff were so friendly and the food was excellent (they catered well for a vegetarian). I highly recommend this lodge.

The lodge is very basic but comfortable and relatively clean. The "cabin" we stayed in had mesh for windows, nets over bed, large simple bathroom (cold shower, toilet and hand basin) and was set in clearing in jungle. Meals were supplied each day and served in dining room. The formula was again simple but tasty and we savoured some local...

We stayed for 5 days in total. And while I now know that the jungle is a little too intense for me, experiencing it the way I did was still one of the highlights of all of South America. The walks and activities were epic! Our guide was amazing, made us feel safe and his knowledge was outstanding. What made...

It's impossible to fault the idea behind this place, as other reviewers have noted it's set up and run by indigenous peoples in the heart of their community land. It's a delight that in the execution the lodge works perfectly as well. A great blend of nature walks and river excursions, alongside more frivolous activities like river tubing. The food...
