We spent several days here while on vacation in Peru. Pimentel is a haven of local visitors with little to no signs of globalization--we love that! The Casona is a 100+ year old home recently transformed into a small inn. While they also have a gourmet restaurant in house (la Proa) the only reason they are gettin four stars instead... More

Came here looking for a nice beach to chillout on for a few days away from the hectic backpacking trail......the beach was a no no however the pier at sunset is nice. The big saviour to Pimentel is the Casona [old house ] del Muelle. It is freshly painted and is all class.....the rooms are nearly as big as a... More

We had originally booked for four nights here as a base for visiting the North Peru museum as and pre Inca sites. But we left after one night. The hotel feels as if it has seen much better days. It certainly does not look like the photos on trip advisor! The outside is blue for a start and very grubby... More

We stayed one night in the "Casona del Muelle" on our trip from Lima to Piura. After a very relaxing bath in the roomown whirlpool we slept like royals in a bed of princess. The rooms are very clean and asthetic furnished, the owner ist a very simpatic Swiss and the hostal lays only a few steps from the beach.....keep... More

The hotel is a converted old home with large rooms and comfortable beds. The restaurant does not offer a lot of choices but it seems capable of preparing the basics. Located one block from the beach and two blocks from the main square of Pimentel. For decent food you may need to go to Chiclayo (about 15 min away by... More

I stayed here for a weekend in June, which would be considered winter so they charged me less than half the price they advertise in their website. Location is good although it doesn't have a beach front. Welcome was nice, they were waiting for us since we got here at about 11 pm. Room was nice too, big comfy bed... More

I stayed here for a weekend in autumn. So, the hotel was rather empty and the weather not so hot. The cozy hotel made up for the lack of sun. It is a refurbished home one block from the ocean. It has been decorated in good taste, although obviously, it is not all period furniture. Highlights: the ceilings and the... More

Casona del Muelle was my first place to stay while I was travelling through Peru. It is located right next to the beach AND the rooms are really very clean! F&B is great and value for money. It is a great place to stay for a couple of nights and to relax!

This was home for a week and with two young children, we were made to feel most welcome. Tramping in covered in sand from the beach was no problem and the owner even did a bit of babysitting one night. All the staff were very friendly. The accommodation is fine, not especially elaborate which is just right for a beach... More

With rave reviews we had high expectations of this place, which it did not fully live up to. The welcoming was quite shallow, we had to fight a bit with opening the gate and despite the fact that the receptionist saw our predicament there was no impulse to help out. We also had to carry our own luggage, which is... More
