A large pub with a warm & welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of parking spaces. Staff were very pleasant. A wide menu with daily specials board. Food was freshly prepared in ample proportions and reasonably priced. Tables were available on the weekday lunchtime when we visited, but it can apparently get very busy, so probably best to precook.

Met a friend here for lunch where we sat in front of a log burner with coffee while selecting from menu. The menu choice is excellent, with not just the usual dishes but a good choice of pasta and stir fry also. We had stir fry and it was excellent. Will definitely go again.

I had a Christmas meal at the Wharfedale and was bitterly disappointed that the duck I had pre ordered was not available. I had to make do with a so-so turkey meal and the staff were not very apologetic. A case of must do better

The Wharfedale excelled all expectations this year. A lovely traditional pub with a warm open log fire. Menu was good and food served on time looking very tempting. There were about 16 of us in our party and all plates were cleared.....no food left. Atmosphere was festive and we all had a wonderful evening. Staff did everything and anything to...

I must have driven past this place so many times, I thought as I was meeting a friend of mine for dinner, why not try it A very cosy pub with an olde world charm about it. The menu was very varied and well priced, I really went in thinking mixed grill, but alas that wasn't on the menu, but...

Walked in, got treated with such utter contempt from the a member of staff that made me leave in find another pub. I can't comment on the food as there is no way I'd spend money in a place with such hostility. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place.

My husband & I visited The Wharfedale Inn for lunch. We sat in the bar area...we both felt that the place was looking tired & a little bit shabby & that it would benefit from some fresh wallpaper & paint. The tables were lacking proper place mats & instead were adorned with flimsy paper place mats. My husband ordered the gammon...

We have been here many times in the past, over the years for many various occasions and the service is alway faultless, the food is all home cooked, locally sourced and beautifully presented. There is a bar & restaurant menu offering a varied choice of dishes and sides of vegetables & potatoes or salad or fries if preferred. Maria and...

We have driven passed many times and always say we must pop in so today we did. 2pm and they were still serving lunch. The menu is huge and we were spoilt for choice. We only ordered sandwiches but they came with salad and chips, I didn't manage to eat anything else today. The bar could perhaps do with a...
