Off the M6 about 4 miles but a very decent hotel in the small town of Longtown. Friendly service from young staff operating the pub. Very large clean room overlooking the main street. Good breakfast service. Would recommend if you need a quick stop overnight on the way to Scotland.

The staff were friendly and dealt with a reservation problem quickly. Dinner and breakfast were average. Bedroom and bathroom was very large. Very noisy main road (lorries 24 hrs a day) if you stay in front bedrooms. Decor was dated. Good location and parking if travelling to the Borders. Close to Gretna Green.
