The location of this place is great. It's isolated and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the whole place is desperately in need of some TLC and, at the very least, a good deep clean. The outside is scruffy and the interior is gloomy and uninviting which is a shame as this place has potential. Breakfast was plentiful but mediocre at...

We stayed in Ford House for 1 night on our way to a wedding in Lunga (20 minutes drive away). We arrived very late, and asked for late check out which the owners were completely fine about. Ford House was a very relaxed, convenient place to stay. The owners were pleasant and very flexible to our needs which is really...

If you are looking for somewhere out of the way and not plastic then this could be the place for you. We arrived soaking wet after our bike ride from Oban. Inge (pronounced Inga) greeted us and helped us off-load our bikes and store them. Inge and Graig were very pleasant hosts and more than helpful. We ate here at...

Just returned from a really lovely stay at Ford House with Inge and Craig. Perfect location on banks of Loch Awe and quite central for Oban, Lochgilphead, Tarbert, Tayinloan Ferry to Gigha, and the road to Kilmartin Glen is just minutes away. Amazing breakfast and loved the Hot Chocolate. We ate in one night and were blown away by Craig...

The room was perfectly fine - clean, comfortable and quiet. The dinner was very tasty and excellent value. Inge kindly threw in a glass of wine. But it's a shame that first impressions of Ford House aren't good. As we approached the house, we saw a couple of old towels draped over the wall, and various stuff left around the...

Stayed here for a short birdwatching trip, admittedly with economy in mind, Ford house was adequate with few, if any, frills. The building had rather too many Victorian features that were still extant - a bit chilly, poky and creaky. With the rain hammering away outside and tepid heating, the experience was lukewarm, overall. The "lounge" was a small room...

Stayed at Ford House for three nights in early September 2013. The room was fine, allowing for the difficulties always found in modernising Victorian houses. The stairs might be awkward for anyone disabled or with really heavy bags. Craig and Inge were friendly and helpful and young Morven added charm and minor chaos appropriate to her age. The small gallery...

I stayed here earlier in the year on a cycling trip on the west coast and islands. Craig and Inge were both very welcoming and provided a really excellent meal - if staying here you should certainly book dinner! The room was very comfortable and I had a very peaceful night sleeping with the window open. Some reviewers have said...

Though we were warmly welcomed by our hosts Inge and Craig, we felt the place was a bit rundown. This was the only B&B on our trip in which the owners' living quarters were not separated from the public area. There was a room off to the left as you walked into the lobby that was quite cluttered with toys,...
