My family and I were taking a weekend break in Wales for my brothers 40th. My mother (the organiser) booked everyone in to the travel lodge.... But I decided, to have a bit of a shop about. I found Bwlch Y fedwen purely by accident. It was cheaper and looked nice enough so I decided to give it a go....

Just stayed for another lovely weekend. Can't rate this B&B highly enough. Alison is the perfect hostess and she thinks of everything to make your stay very comfortable and welcoming. Lots of lovely little touches in the rooms from gorgeous hand wash/cream to freshly made cake, welsh ale and daily supply of shortbread. Very clean and welcoming rooms and the...

We stayed here for two night. Absolutely first class, the room we had was perfect. They had thought of everything, comfortable, clean and so beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, catered for all tastes. The decking area was lovely with stunning views of Moel Y Gest. Would highly recommend here Cannot wait to return!

Booked this place because couldn't find anywhere else ... But so glad we did. Everything was great. Lovely house in lovely location (quiet!) . Host was wonderful & friendly. Lovely room (however some cleaning was needed under the bed!) ... Few extra "perks" were left for us in the room. Free wifi given. Breakfast was ace! .... Would definitely stay...

Stayed here last year. Lovely B&B with a welcoming host. Great room with everything you need including small fridge with fresh milk which I've never come across before. Quaint breakfast room in which there's everything you need including the cooked breakfast you've asked for the night previous (form you fill in which you leave hanging outside your room). Would definitely...

We stayed here for a nine days and the location was great for our adventures. The room was well equipped for all your needs - and meticulously clean. Rooms are not 5 star hotel rooms but more homey and comfortable. Breakfasts choices were plentiful. Alison is very organized and a good cook! The eggs are collected every morning from the...

Would give it 5 stars but for the proximity to the highway, which means some rooms can be noisy. VERY friendly and helpful host! Great breakfast. The rooms are very well done and well equipped. Location is great for your visit to Portmeirion ( or even Caernarfon). And Molly (if she doesn't greet you on arrival ask for her!) is...

Only stayed here one night but would happily never leave, Alison was so welcoming and gave us the most amazing cake on arrival. Room was beautifully decorated and had everything I could possibly need and more. The little touches really make this place flawless, breakfast was wonderful ( real sausage and bacon from the butchers and bakery bread) and we...

The owner of this b and b couldn't be more attentive, homemade cake on arrival, a bottle of local beer to try and fantastic breakfast cooked to order. This establishment beats many hotels for the quality of food and level of service. Only small grope was our slightly noisy room due to window looking out onto the road but this...

Struggle to find any flaws in this fantastic B&B. Couldn't ask for much more... (we even left a note saying so!) Alison and David offer a charming stay in a rural haven and could not be more happy to help, from offering dining suggestions and places to visit to lending an umbrella when it was tipping it down. Rooms are...
