the tuko beach resort near abra de ilog is the perfect place if you want to get away from it all. seemingly in the middle of nowhere it's still easy enough to get to. and there's plenty to do, beautiful beaches, waterfalls, mountain trails, friendly locals, nature, corals reefs, stunning minority villages and what not. food and service were just...

We spent two nights at the resort and where overwhelmed by the surrounding nature, giving you the feeling of living in a paradise garden, and the wonderful food which is freshly cooked and served on a terrace with a stunning view. A reccomendation to those who seek the quiet beauty of nature but don't want to miss a comfortable bed,...

I suppose we are biased because my wife and I live in the development of San Souci near Tuko Beach Resort and we know the owner, Michaela personally. Nevertheless, we have stayed at the Tuko Beach Resort while we were considering purchasing out home and we love the location, hospitality of the staff and having a chance to wind down...

We spent 5 nights at Tuko. The place is located in a rather remote area, which contributes a lot to its attractiveness: it is quiet, peaceful, relaxing. The surroundings are just amazing, and it would be a loss to not go for a walk. Along a nearby river, you can bathe in lagoons which are quite magical. The food is...

We wanted a quiet remote place in the middle of nature and beaches not too far from Manila and we found much more!!!! This is one of the most amazing places we have ever been too - European comfort, delicious cuisine, incredible kindness and attention from the hotel's owner Michaela, surrounded by amazing beaches, forest, baby turtles and lovely villagers!...

Michaela's resort is set in an exceptionally rich biodiversity spot between land and sea. She has made our stay very comfortable, effortless and incredibly humbling, having to reconnect fully with nature. Tuko Beach is located in a pristine environment which allows you to discover many untouched natural sites both on land and underwater. Oh, and let’s not forget her amazing...

The resort is located in a amazingly preserved biodiversity spot, only few hours from Manila by road and by ferries. The room are really spacious, the service and hospitality outstanding. Lot of trek and explorations available for the most adventurous but also wonderful place to relax and chill out on the beaches. The food is also far above standard.

We were in Occidental Mindoro for Lifeline projects for the last two days and stayed at Tuko Beach Resort. It's one of the country's best kept secrets. The rooms are beautiful (such attention to detail!), the bathrooms are huge, the beach is so clean, and best of all the owner, Michaela Webb, has been helping the Mangyan and Tagalog sitios...

Occidental Mindoro is not as popular as nearby Oriental Mindoro. It's more rural and backward compared to its neighbor. But that is its charm. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed and laid back vacation far from the maddening crowds of Galera then this is right for you. Hidden along its coast is Tuko Beach Resort which even the locals...

After an exhausting ferry and boat ride, we were immediately revived by Michaela's welcome and by the beauty and tranquility of the place. Michaela's attention to detail is commendable. Water buckets and pails outside cottages for rinsing one's feet, beach gear on hand, sealed coffee mugs and glasses in the rooms, and full course sit-down meals for breakfast and dinner....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A tropical hideaway, off the-beaten-track, this small boutique-style resort is set on the fringes of a jungle-like forest with direct access to several white sandy beaches. Kept deliberately small with no more than 20 guests at any one time, the German management ensures a cozy, intimate atmosphere and truly Mindorenean hospitality. All cottages and rooms are of superior standard, fitted to provide spacious and comfortable living in close harmony with nature: enjoy our beautiful coral gardens close to the resort's shoreline or experience a guided trail hike to a hidden lagoon with small waterfall. ... more   less
