You will notice a few things on arrival at Tuko Beach. The friendly welcome of Michaela, and how isolated it is. Occidental Mindoro is that bit further away than other more 'touristy' islands which gives it special appeal. Take a walk along isolated beaches and explore the wilderness. The local villagers are friendly and helpful and Michaela's hospitality is warm...

I don't often write reviews but after travelling through the Philippines, I felt I had a bit of a duty to write something about BY FAR the best place we stayed - nowhere else came close!!!! The location is perfect - secluded and surrounded by spectacular natural beauty with great snorkeling and hikes right on the doorstep and local villages...

I stayed 10 days in Tuko with my boyfriend and we had an incredible experience. The resort is so well designed that you can barely see it from the outside and every accomodations are well separated by nature. Food is delicious and abundant and Michaela, the great owner, adapted the menu as I'm a vegetarian. As nature lover we had...

Long journey to get there but all worth it -- great food, very clean rooms, quiet environment and superb service. Was particularly pleased that Mikaela, as a conservationist, invited us to see the release of baby green turtles. It made our trip extra special. Plus, she was so thoughtful to our 2 dogs, Lola and Tia. They found a new...

This is a gem stone in Mindoro. The resort is so lush and serene. The cottages are uniquely built and designed by the owner herself. We love the details in every house. There is something to love in each one of them. The owner, Michaela, cooks the meals for her guests and wow, there was never a time where we...

This is a beautiful place to stay. Calm, relaxing and with fantastic food for every type of diet. As a non-meat eater I often struggle to find a variety of dishes when I'm travelling, but Michaela provided the vegetarians with amazing breakfasts and dinners - fresh and tasty and also provided meat dishes for the meat eaters. Unfortunately I picked...

We only stayed 2 nights at Tuko beach resort, but it is one of those places that you just cannot get out of your head, in fact I find myself daydreaming about spending a whole summer there, such was the impact of the experience. The resort itself is tucked away and so well designed that even if it was fully...

We had a wonderful stay with Michaela at Tuko. Her place is very clean, well-maintained and relaxing. There are places to relax and play. The beach in walking distance (and a great path) is wonderful and secluded. The rocks out front are perfect for kids (more than 5years) to explore and play.

the tuko beach resort near abra de ilog is the perfect place if you want to get away from it all. seemingly in the middle of nowhere it's still easy enough to get to. and there's plenty to do, beautiful beaches, waterfalls, mountain trails, friendly locals, nature, corals reefs, stunning minority villages and what not. food and service were just...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A tropical hideaway, off the-beaten-track, this small boutique-style resort is set on the fringes of a jungle-like forest with direct access to several white sandy beaches. Kept deliberately small with no more than 20 guests at any one time, the German management ensures a cozy, intimate atmosphere and truly Mindorenean hospitality. All cottages and rooms are of superior standard, fitted to provide spacious and comfortable living in close harmony with nature: enjoy our beautiful coral gardens close to the resort's shoreline or experience a guided trail hike to a hidden lagoon with small waterfall. ... more   less
