A nice place to stay in Tonga
Service is friendly and helpful
Rooms tidy and clean but we
had issues with hot water.
Some wild life can get into your room from the gardens. We had two big spiders and some roaches.

Overall our week's stay was enjoyable and certainly value for money. The staff were friendly, the food of reasonable quality and well prepared. There is a good view of the ocean view from the bar with the occasional whale spotted each evening we were there....More

Hi, THere isn't what most people would describe a sandy beach. Nobody sits on it - they just sit around by the side of the resort's pool (which also had lots of broken beer bottles in the 3inches of sand!) Just about 3m of sand interspersed with rock at low tide. Biggest concern is the amount of broken beer bottles on the 'beach'. These are from the resort because they don't clear them up - they have not washed up from further away as they are still razor sharp. I collected bits up several days, but hardly made an impression.
The coral is completely dead - no colour whatsoever. That's global warming's fault, though. THere are some smaller fish around and the bright blue starfish, but you are warned against swimming out over the point where it gets deep - unlike in some places like Samoa. I still enjoyed snorkelling, but it was not as good as any other Pacific Island we've been too.
Hope that helps.

Hi! I would definitely ask because staff is very accommodating (pls remember there's price difference). There isn't much difference as far as the room layout; however the rooms behind the beach front ones are attached to another room and so you would share the front porch. My family wanted privacy and we were quite noisy (radio and late night family gatherings), but we got no complaints 😊. As far as rental I'd suggest getting it before hand...much easier bc (Avis) is located right outside the exit doors as you come out of arrivals. & the car rental return of course would be same place. Enjoy your stay! Hope this helped and thanks for reading my review!
