One of the finest examples I have experienced of Arab hospitality, our overnight stay at Pella countryside hotel was delightful. When we arrived, we were treated as honoured guests, by a hugely entertaining Mr Hussein. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast prepared by his wife, seated in his garden. He is very proud of the lovely space he has...

We stayed one night at this charming guesthouse on our travels through north Jordan. It was simple but clean, comfortable and has delightful views over the hilly countryside from the guest lounge. The owner, Mr Deeb Hussein, takes obvious pride in his hotel and could not have made us more welcome.Meals are taken at his home, a short walk away. We...

We stayed at the Pella Countryside hotel during the second night of our visit to Jordan. Firstly, for what we stayed in, I felt the name "Countryside Hotel" was very much overstating the accommodation in which we found ourselves - up a street in Pella, set amongst other houses and definitely not in the countryside. Basically, the accommodation is a...

This might be the only hotel in Pella area. The road going in and getting out Pella are very scenic. The hotel itself is very basic though spacious. The meals were served in the garden of owner's house 300 meters away. The garden is quite lovely. The mint lemonade served at meal (you have to pay for it) was the...

We stayed one night at Pella Countryside Hotel. The location is prime with great views of the Jordan valley and the Pella Ruins. We payed 45JD for our room breakfast and dinner. The rooms were good but some things didn't work like the hallway lights and a faulty door lock. For the price of the room it could have been...

We arrived late at night in Pella. We thought the hotel was closed but then Deeb Hussein came out of his house (300 meters in front of the hotel) and offered us a late dinner in his house. we got a room in the hotel (we were the only guests). Nice little rooms, clean, but our bed was really worse....

Pella is in a beautiful part of Jordan, and in the Jordan Valley so a great place to go for some warmth during the winter months and absolutely gorgeous in spring when the wild flowers are in bloom. I came across this hotel on an earlier day trip to Pella and the family who run it are warm and friendly...

This hotel is located in the beautiful small village of Pella in northern Jordan. Its one of the only genuine family run hotels in the country. We only stopped there for tea but would definitely go back to stay....a truly beautiful place, impeccably clean and really welcoming. All the meals/tea etc are served in the owner's house by him and...

Without booking and having found ourself dangerously close to sunset driving down the Jordanian road copying border with Israel, friendly locals recommended us the only place to stay in Pella - the Countryside hotel. We were made feel very welcome since our arrival. The price was 40 JD per night (double bed) including large breakfast and dinner (excluding fresh orange...

Do not misinterpret the Rough Guide description as we and other guests had. The Pella Resthouse is managed by the owner of the Countryside Hotel but the premises are completely separate about a mile or so from each other. So the succulent food and cold beers and wine were not on the agenda. The Countryside is at the top of...
