The hotel's just started doing meals again, so we tried it out. Just had a smashing mid-week dinner. Very good food and excellent service. The staff were very hospitable and engaging. The menu was a good balance between traditional (e.g. roast beef) and more exotic (Thai Chicken croquettes). I mention these dishes because they're what we had for main course....

We had a great meal well presented the staff were attentive and well mannered, all in all it was a good evening the decor could be doing with a brighten but what's lacking there is well made up for with the food. We will most certainly be back in the near future.

This was an evening meal occasion accompanied by my adult grandson, and three French visitors. On entry we arrived at the bar and given a slightly uncertain welcome. But we were eventually guided to a table for five and settled in to a relatively dark environment at seats that seemed a bit low set for the table. However, we were...

I was in the area for a couple of days for work and was booked into the Lismohr. I could not have been happier. Nice comfortable room with everything you need, a good desk to work at and a really good shower. The decor is unfussy and clean and for an old property remarkably modern. Really comfortable bed. I am...

Steak and grill night at the Linsmohr tonight. A new chef and the food was fantastic! My husbands mixed grill was massive and all local produce, cooked to perfection and he ate every bite! I had a curry which was better than any I have had and our desserts of lemon posset and raspberry and white choc cheesecake were exceptional....

My family and I stayed at this hotel last Saturday. My allocated room was no.1 which was very very nice and pleasant with all amenities. My only complaint was that the shower cubicle was very small (I'm of average height and weight) and I struggled to wash comfortably. The staff I spoke to were very friendly and I very much...

This is one of our favorite restaurants, food always to a high standard, staff attentive and friendly.wheelchair access is through the public bar but once inside the restaurant we were given a larger table to accommodate us .The only negative thing is that there can be a long wait between courses, other than that would highly recommend.

Visited on a Saturday night and although not busy it still had a nice atmosphere as homely and warm. Service was good and menu was extensive as had quite a large selection of specials although not sure if these would be on every day. All in all a good visit and pleasant experience.

I've eaten here plenty of times before and ate here recently with friends. Have absolutely no complaints on the service, however the food is a different matter. The Asian Salmon was dry and over cooked and the noodles swimming in grease. The steak arrived completely covered in a huge pile of fried onions, fine if you like onions but not...
