Diamond Waters Treehouse Retreat is a multi-award winning facility with two eco-luxury Treehouses, spectacular wetland walkway and river side birdhide, and campfire facilities. The business is an example of where tourism has extended beyond the principles of sustainability to the point where the resources of tourism have been used to turn back the clock and substantially regenerate the native environment. We are Advanced Ecotourism and Climate Action Business Accredited to ensure the highest possible quality amenity and service. Described by NRMA Open Road Magazine as "where eco-cottages meets Vogue Magazine" the Treehouses overlook the pristine Camden Haven River and protected wetlands sitting under the gaze of North Brother (Dooragan) Mountain. The Retreat is just 500 meters walk to a secluded beach and bounded by five national parks and reserves. We are just two minutes drive to the local village with superb restaurants and local produce. Within five minutes drive there are superb bush walks including the amazing Diamond Head Loop walk (2.5 hours) with its spring wildflowers and whale watch sites (July-October). Further to the north (35 minutes drive) international guests can be inspired by the work of the world renowned Koala Hospital and the attractions of a large regional centre. Also on site is a bespoke wedding and events centre (The Fernery) where is you arrange a destination wedding, health and wellbeing retreat or a separate place to work with hi speed wifi. They provide the perfect holiday destination for a romantic weekend, or a great location to escape-discover-relax and experience rewilding. There is a wonderful rain forest garden, coffee bar and extensive herb and vegetable gardens to graze from. Coffees, herbs and vegetables from the gardens are free for Treehouse Guests to enjoy.

This was our third visit to this fabulous place and it was like coming home to friends. Pete and Kerry are wonderful hosts and so passionate about what they do. The houses themselves are stunning, in an Eden-like environment carefully managed to promote the development of wildlife. New developments since our last visit are a neatly constructed bird hide at the water's edge, and a secure, non-intrusive walkway. For those planning a wedding, the facilities are absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend it as a location. We are bewitched by the atmosphere of the Treehouse Retreat and it is always the first thing that is inked in on our next itinerary! We will be back to see you soon, and thank you again for such wonderful hospitality.

Beautiful, serene, tranquil place. The treehouse we had is perched above a freshwater pond and overlooks lush greenery. You can hear the waves at Dunbogan Beach (800m away) and chill out on the balcony listening to the birdsong. We celebrated our anniversary here over two nights, drinking cocktails, eating fresh oysters, prawns and fish barbecued on the baby Weber bbq. The house is lovely and clean, with a rainfall shower to relax under after a day of swimming at Pilot Beach or kayaking on the river. Peter and Kerry are very generous hosts and lovely to chat with. Peter will even make you a cappuccino at 9 am in the funky little “cafe”. It’s a place you can truly relax and let the world float by.

Peter is a great host and makes a great coffee for morning chat time! Very obliging in switching off the cottage wifi for me, and I switched off the power to the smart TV, because I am adversely affected by EMF. It was a very peaceful and comfortable place to stay, in a beautiful environment and accessible to stunning coast and countryside.

Such a beautiful place. We really enjoyed our time in the tree house. The kids were able to explore the surroundings and discover many animals. The tree house is great, furnished with attention to detail, we lacked nothing. The soundscape was fantastic, pure nature and relaxation. In addition, very nice hosts who sweetened the start of the day with coffee and many excursion tips. It was not easy for us to leave after three nights, we would have liked to stay longer in any case.

A beautiful slice of paradise. We took our push bikes and cycled around everywhere. Track is flat and beautiful scenery along the way. Peter and Kerry were fabulous and the treetop cabin was sensational. Picking fresh produce from the garden for cooking was a wonderful touch Thank you

The treehouse retreat is such a hidden gem! The cabin is built up amongst the trees, so you are completely surrounded by nature. I woke up to the sound of the birds and enjoyed sitting on the deck while taking in the stunning natural view. It was a treat to wander the property too and check out the gardens and nearby river. The treehouse itself was clean and stylish with lovely wooden floorboards and a spacious bathroom. Oh and the bed was so comfy! It really felt like a home away from home. Internet worked well so I was able to stay connected while also feeling a million miles away. It is the perfect getaway from city life, I am looking forward to staying again.

The Treehouse Retreat was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. It’s a hidden gem of the rainforest, with no noise other than the sounds of various birds and wildlife. Exactly what we were searching for, the hosts, their hospitality and their beautiful property exceeded our expectations and left us never wanting to leave. I cannot recommend this place more, a shame that the rating only goes to 5, as it deserves a 10. We’ll be back!

My new husband and I got married here this past weekend and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location. we had the whole venue to ourselves all weekend and we didn't have to leave for anything. getting ready, the ceremony, reception and photos were all done on site. we had everything we could've needed and the place was transformed into the perfect enchanted venue of our dreams

Staying here was the highlight of our trip and we will be talking about it for years to come. The property is so unique, you will relax right into nature here. Our hosts were onsite and so lovely. They truly love the place and have put so much into making it perfect for guests. It’s so clean, comfortable and modern even thought it is in the middle of a rainforest. It’s also walkable to the coast with a huge , amazing deserted beach. Go there- you will be happy you did.
