Sylvie and Christophe were wonderful hosts: their B&B was very clean, the room cozy, and we felt right at home! We even got a tour of their eventual cave and Christophe patiently took the time to explain the art of wine making. Their wine itself was divine. Sylvie gave us great restaurant recommendations and we headed off in the morning...

Great 'Atmospère, great 'Ambiance'. Together with extensive hospitality and genuine friendlyness ( even the dog is participating in this) is it a good place to stay and discovering from here Carcassonne and its surroundings.

My husband and I really loved our night at Le Close de Venes. Sylvia and Christopher were friendly and pointed us to some nice restaurants, provide a lovely breakfast (with tree fresh apricots and homemade jams), and patiently answered our questions about wine. As they are also winemakers, we also bought a bottle of their wine (it did not last...

We were warmly welcomed into this beautiful home, a truly elegant and tastefully decorated grand house. Our spacious bedroom was extremely comfortable, and a bottle of the Clos de Venes fabulous red wine on the mantlepiece was an irresistible temptation! Breakfast in the magical setting of a garden room like no other was possibly the best we've ever eaten, with...

We came to Sylvie and Christoph in a manic state, having risen at 02:30 in the morning(?) and driven to Luton Airport to catch a 6:20 flight to Beziers - we were then viewing houses non-stop until we parked the car in front of their hotel; we were in need of restoration (like some of the houses we had seen)....

We stayed here one night with our 3 children on the way to our final holiday destination. The place is full of character and Sylvie and Christophe, who gave us a very friendly welcome, have a real flair for decoration. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Sylvie and Christophe are warm and welcoming hosts who speak good English. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated in French country style. Breakfast, sometimes with warm crepes, is served in an airy garden room. The village location is perfect for visiting Carcassonne and Canal du Midi. Sylvie recommended some great restaurants only 10 minutes away by car. Even though Christophe...

A wonderful warm atmosphere created by Sylvie & Christophe. A very stylish and comfortable room, with a magnificent bathroom. Ideally situated between Carcassonne and Narbonne, and5 minutes from the Canal du Midi. The only downside was the 5 minute drive to the nearest restaurants. Thank you Sylvie.

We stayed at Clos de Venes fo two nights in late July and wished we could stay for longer. The warm welcome from Christophe and Sylvie set the tone for our stay - nothing was too much trouble.
