A wonderful experience if you truly want to have a taste of the Amazon, the forest, its life, its traditions, and what we are going to lose if we don´t take good care of it. The staff is second to none ... top notch, extremely service oriented, multilanguage and cultural sensitive. Food, absolutely outstanding, even for the most complex guest ... Guides are super professional ! Depending on how many days you will stay, you will have access to different tours (paseios). All very good, and guarantee you will leave with the feeling that you should have stayed more days. Please, do not leave without jumping ans swimming on the Rio Negro ... We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and decided to invest on us ... and it worked out great!

The place to go on the Amazon Forest!!! The hotel is simply incredible, everyone who works there is extremely nice and it’s just an overall happy climate - special thanks to our amazing guides João S., João F. and Chico! The amenities are great, restaurant, pool and floating deck are really nice and although I thought we would have problems with bugs seeing as you are in the middle of the jungle, but that really isn’t a problem at Anavilhanas. The activities they offer are indescribable, each very special - highly recommend the Madada Caves Exploring. We had a great experience and will recommend it to all out friends and family!

Hi Victoria, Thank you very much for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor and for choosing Anavilhanas Lodge for your stay in the Amazon! We take our guests' reviews and feedback very seriously, using them as the basis for improvements, operational adjustments and training. We are very happy that you enjoyed the stay at Anavilhanas Lodge, including the location, the tours and service. On our 6days and 5 nights experience we take our guests to the Madada's cave hike and our Remote Base, 50km away from the Lodge, which is an amazing experience. And staying longer at the Lodge give the guests a chance to really disconnect, relax and enjoy Nature. We look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends in the near future, whenever you think of an unusual trip in the midst of pure nature! Greetings on behalf of the entire team!

My mom and I enjoyed a 6 day, 5-night tour at Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge. It was one of the most memorable experiences abroad we have ever had together. Everything about the lodge was perfect: the secluded location, the top-notch hospitality and delicious food, the cozy accommodations and last but not least the knowledgeable and fun tour guides. Pick up from the hotel in Manaus was easy and so was the 2+ hour drive in the comfortable van to the lodge. (a water plane is available as well) Each day the lodge planned different activities for us with English-speaking guides. Our guides Krishna and Joao were fabulous! The different activities included night-spotting for animals, hiking and kayaking through the flooded forest, archery, relaxing in a hammock on a riverboat, and many more. The boat captains and cooks did a phenomenal job navigating the waters during our tour. We were the only ones in the group for a majority of the activities since there were no other English speakers due to Covid. This brings me to my next point: the lodge had excellent safety measures in place. It was evident that they were taking the safety of their staff and guests very seriously during our stay. For those of you who may be hesitant to travel right now due to the pandemic, I can assure you that we felt really safe during our stay at Anavilhanas! We can't recommend the Eco-Lodge enough and we look forward to returning in the future. We are highly impressed by all of the staff that helped make our experience so fun.

Hi Sarah, Thank you very much for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor and for choosing Anavilhanas Lodge for your stay in the Amazon! We take our guests' reviews and feedback very seriously, using them as the basis for improvements, operational adjustments and training. We are very happy that you and your mom enjoyed the stay at Anavilhanas Lodge, including the location, the tours and food. It is always a great pleasure to welcome foreigner guests in the Amazon and we were missing speaking English when you arrived. Before COVID, Anavilhanas used to host a majority of guests coming from abroad, and we kept the same services and staff ready to host people from all over. We had to implement new safety measures to ensure a healthy atmosphere for both employees and guest, so we are glad that you could enjoy your stay feeling well and relaxed about everything. We look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends in the near future, whenever you think of an unusual trip in the midst of pure nature! Greetings on behalf of the entire team!

We absolutely loved our trip here! The lodge was gorgeous and the wildlife was so cool. When we first got to our room (which is NOT a typical room, it's a stand-alone place in the jungle!) there were monkeys outside our enclosed deck. The activities were so fun and the flight back over the parting of the waters is not to be missed! Our favorites were canoeing, the night tour, fishing and the dolphin trip. The pool and grounds are also amazing and it was super fun to paddle board on your own!

From the pickup at the airport to the end of my stay, everything was well done. The staff made the whole stay very enjoyable. The canoeing, jungle hike and night animal watching were my favourite activities. I highly recommend anyone thinking about going! Not to mention nice rooms, beautiful setting and other friendly guests at the lodge
