Just a brief stay, sadly, in this truly glorious spot but enough to tempt us to return again and again. This historic property, once the home of Sir Robert Peel, has been cherished and renovated in a sensitive, respectful blend of old and contemporary. It's spaces are inviting rather than intimidatingly grand; it exudes a sense of inviting warmth and...

Being a local I was hopeful this would be a great experience but from the word go it was a complete let down. We had hired a room for two days and a group of us were staying over and dining at Peels, the newly awarded Michelin star restaurant. The sevice during the day was lazy and non attentive, as...

Just occasionally this forum provides a shining example of community. It is really sad to see that "a local" person has lost the ability, in the first instance of a disappointing experience, to write to the family owners of the business. We of course would have fully empathised with the poor example of service regarding some post-it notes and would...

This Manor House has a beautiful setting! The gardens are stunning and the decoration is lovely. Our room was very spacious and included everything you needed, it had a beautiful big bath and a huge bed. The breakfast was tasty however I thought £15 was a lot for a breakfast that was buffet style. I would expect to be served...

Getting lunch in the bar required asking reception to send someone to serve us. The bar was not always attended which was a bit of a pain. No pool, gym, spa etc...

Booked at the last minute for a surprise birthday gift for my friend. We loved it! Such a beautiful building and grounds and the parlour we were in was exquisite. Nice touch was that each booking has their own appointment so allowed time for staff to welcome us and talk through the range of delicious food. Fabulous experience, excellent service...

We booked Hampton Manor for our wedding reception and stayed over night. The reception room we had (Elizabeth's Court) was absolutely stunning, it was an amazing place to celebrate such a special day. The food was world class and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful! Wish we could have stayed longer after spending the night there, the rooms were...
