The rooms could do with just a touch of TLC, our bathroom had a constant 'smell' to it. The staff/store areas between the reception and rooms and pool etc could do with a tidy BUT after all that said I would return in a heartbeat!!! We were in room 113 which overlooked the sand rather than the pool but this was absolutely fine. Just one word of warning the bar immediately to the lefthand side of us has party night every Sunday and it didn't stop until 4am while we were there. I should imagine rooms overlooking the pool wouldn't hear it. The older receptionist is just lovely so very funny. Older waitress at breakfast couldn't wait to help you. The breakfast was just fine... 2 juices, water, coffee, tea, eggs cooked to order, cereal, fruit salad, Breads. Such a chilled out vibe. We did venture onto the road once but realised we really didn't need to everything we needed was on the beach. Such a lovely feeling to never wear shoes, to walk the beach each morning, to watch spectacular Sunsets from Andalay bar. It really was the most relaxing 3 days for us. Beforehand we had been in Chiang Mai, Phuket town, Nai Harn, Tub Kaek and Ao Nang. Even as I write this in the grounds of Beyond Krabi in Klong Muang which is beautiful I realise just how amazing Andalay was. I will definitely be back to Koh Lanta and Andalay!

Stayed here for two nights Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, location is gorgeous, straight onto the beach with great beach bars around which you can walk to over the sand. Staff were really friendly and drinks well priced. Rooms were tired though with old bedding and towels which really needed a refresh given the premium price of the room for Thailand. Bar next door played loud music on the first night which didn’t stop until about 2am therefore very little sleep had. Second night was quiet and slept much better. Breakfast was basic and adequate but again, not for the price paid. We had a lovely stay, but due to the location and our trips to the beach bars for lunch and the evenings, rather than the hotel.

The hotel is positioned directly on the beach, so close close you can always hear the waves. This is stunning beach, a bit more rustic beach than Long Beach, with more smaller, independent restaurants and bars; a slightly more relaxed, bohemian vibe. The sunsets are breathtaking. The pool is a good size, very clean and there were always plenty of sun beds and parasols (although the hotel wasn’t full when we were there). We had a sea view room which was a great size, looking over the pool and beyond to the sea. The hotel is quite small (maybe 20 rooms) but is very professionally run so still feels like a quality hotel. The breakfast is simple but tasty with lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal and a choice of eggs, bacon, sausage every day. The little restaurant serves a huge range of delicious Thai food and seems to have lots of western options as well. The staff are incredibly kind and considerate. We found the bed to be a bit too hard but we mentioned this and they immediately added a mattress topper which made all the difference. There is a fair bit of road noise. It’s not a busy road at all but the insulation isn’t great so you’re quite aware of the odd vehicle going past. It didn’t bother at all us but some may prefer to bring earplugs.

We stayed two nights and had breakfast included, however the breakfast consisted of white bread and fruit which definitely didn’t looked eatable - we didn’t want to risk it. The rooms themselves…. Well they were ok. Although we didn’t have warm water during our entire stay it didn’t really matter due to the hot weather but it would have been nice to have a nice shower. Also, the bathroom smelled of sewage. However, beds were ok and staff friendly - we also had our own bungalow which definitely raised the review.

The stay at Andalay was like a dream! A tidy, cozy, spacious room smelling good, amidst a tropical paradise, along with a fantastic beach, a lot of facilities and an impeccable service. Two pools embedded in the garden invite to dwell and the restaurant serves a lot of tasty food. Excellent in any way!!

Beautiful location on the beach but sadly right on a busy road making the rooms very noisy. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, very clean and serviced daily. All the rooms are facing the garden and ocean with ponds filled with lotus flowers. The pool is a good size and kept spotlessly clean with sunbeds and deckchairs. Jin on reception is an absolute gem and so helpful and charming - a true asset to the hotel. Breakfast is served on the terrace and reasonably good. Staff in this area could be more friendly but on the whole good.

This is a perfect hotel for us, one of my favourites I have ever stayed in. Location is perfect, on an amazing beach. You can hear the waves from your room. It’s isn’t luxurious, but has everything we needed. Lovely friendly staff, great restaurant, good happy hour every day between 4-6 pm. Breakfast is free with your room, it is just fine, with amazing views of the sea from the restaurant. The cottages are spacious, with a big comfy bed. Nice power shower. Room cleaning and free water every day. You can book excursions from the hotel, all at a good price. They also do laundry for you at a good price, The pool area is lovely, located just by the beach. The location of the hotel is good too, with many beach bars and restaurants close by. All in all a great little hotel that won’t break the bank.We have another 5 days here of our 2 week stay and will be very sorry to leave.

A stunning location on an underpopulated beach. Comfortable rather than luxurious. Lovely, smiley staff who kept us entertained and well looked after. Homely and comfortable. We liked the fact there were so many other bars and restaurants along the beach but it was not noisy, unlike some other places we have visited. Don't expect wild excitement at this hotel but quiet relaxation It can be used as a base for other a tivitirs.

Really nice place, the staff is so friendly and helpful. They fix everything and it won’t be better. Straight on the beach 🏖 They even adapted special needs with non alcoholic beers for me😁 I would really recommend for others🥳*************
