I stayed in room 1 so all comments are related to this room only. Broken bed Wobbly wardrobe Smelly bathroom (Smelled like cabbage) Cold tap Rand warm for 20-30 seconds before cold ( Bit of a shock at 3am trying to get a drink) Shower hose split so more water came out of split than the shower head. Towels provided...

I have lunch with a friend for the 1st time last Saturday, we thought we would try it as the sun was shining and they seemed to have a garden to sit in. They did but it was not well kept and whilst it had some cute chickens roaming about it didn't look very well maintained and some of the...

The positives - room was lovely and warm, big bathroom/wet-room and plenty of hot water. I ate half roast chicken, chips and salad, all nice and salad fresh. The negatives - no broadband, although it is advertised. Major problem as I was on a work trip. Cost a lot to use iphone as wifi hotspot and even that was patchy....

I booked into the Horseshoes for just one night's stay on 14th September 2016 Having read the previous reviews, I do concur that the landlord, John was somewhat "gruff", but that's just his nature I suppose; he certainly seemed amenable enough. I only had a pint and a bar snack on the day I checked in, and it was fairly...

My family and I visited the pub after a long drive back from the coast. We were all starving and just wanted some hot food. As soon as we walked in, there was an unfriendly atmosphere. We ordered our food and waited. Once it arrived we were horrified by the size of the plates and the look of the food....

For less than £60 this is a good place to stay - it's no frills. It has free parking and wifi, serves good pub food and the room we had was ample for our purpose. The room itself was very basic but for one night it was fine. It had tea and coffee making facilities and it was clear that...
