My experience with Baan Talay Dao was excellent. The location, right on the beach, is awesome. My room was comfortable, hotel staff were great, and they have a very nice pool. The best part was the delicious breakfast buffet. See the photos!

We absolutely loved our stay in Baan Talay Dao, the staff are so kind and friendly. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the location directly on the beach is perfect. We were on the first floor and had a beautiful balcony. I would have loved the door to the balcony to have had a fly screen and the hotel could do with upgrading the WiFi which was practically nonexistent. The breakfast was good. Would recommend

Pleasant small resort away from the beach frenzies in Hoa Hin. Room was comfortable and well appointed, restaurant served good local Thai food, and restaurant and small pool have a nice sea view. However, unfortunately, no beach access for a walk or swim.

Beautiful hotel in authentic style in a beautiful garden. We were passing through here for two nights. The staff is super friendly and very caring and helpful. We had a cozy cozy studio. Everything was there even slippers, beach bag, umbrellas and a lovely king size bed. Lovely soft mattress, cozy sofa, drying rack, garden furniture. Beautiful bathroom, tea set on a cozy desk complete with writing set.
In the area there is plenty to do: beach, monastery on a beautiful mountain.
Night market within walking distance 4 nights a week. Lots of shopping. National park and River Kwai visited. Located right on the beach. The Thai population also vacations here. Beautiful train station from where we took the night train south.
Also at the train station we encountered a lot of helpful staff. We will definitely go back again.

A really nice little green resort. Very quiet location, right by the sea. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and spacious, the beds just right. We had a small terrace with chairs, which unfortunately were a bit uncomfortable. Very hard and too deep. In the morning it was difficult to get into the sea when the waves were too high. No railings on the stairs leading into the sea! When the water receded, we even had beach. All in all, I would go there again and again! A clear recommendation from me!

My husband and I have just spent 10 days at the Baan Talay Dao Resort and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all but still have easy access to Hua Hin.

The resort itself is set in it's own oasis - very tropical. We had a villa and the standard of the room was excellent. It was very clean, beatifully furnished and included a cd/dvd player which was very handy when the rain came.

The pool was quite small which we were expecting and for the time of year we went it was fine but I'm not sure what it would be like during the high season.

I had several massages which I booked through the hotel and you could have them by the pool or in your room. They were excellent and extremely reasonable eg 500 baht for a 2 hour Thai massage.

The restaurant did a great breakfast in the morning and the food in the evening was fine. My only criticism is that it lacked any atomsphere at night as there was no music and the lights were bright but a few candles could sort that out.

The hotel put on a free minibus service to Huan Hin at 10am and 6pm which is about a 10 minute drive away. Hua Hin has some great restaurants and lots of shopping opportunities and it seems to be quite family oriented.

I would definitely recommend the Baan Talay Dao resort if you want somewhere peaceful, reasonably priced but with a bit of luxury!

We stayed in one of the Studios in February and had a great holiday.A lovely place to unwind. The food was good and dining right next to the sea was superb. The views were realy quite magnificent with a very tall golden statue of Buddah at the end of the bay. The staff were all very helpful and the free shuttle bus to Hua Hin was an added incentive to stay here. It was also easy to get a taxi or Tuk-Tuk from just otside the hotel.A short walk along the beach leads you to some nice restraunts one called Lets-Sea was really worth the short walk. The tide comes right up to the sea wall infront of the hotel leaving a beautiful clean beach to swim or walk to other places of interest. The rooms are very comfortable and quite spacious as was the bathroom and always cleaned to a very high standard. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room were an added bonus as was the fridge to store cool drinks. It was lovely to have our own varanda where we could sit outside enjoying the views and to appreciate the lush tropical gardens. We are staying again in Jan 2006

Great little family hotel.
We stayed here for 2 nights before joining son and his family at the Hilton.
Rooms are spacious, Bathrooms are a good size and staff are very friendly.
Breakfast was buffet style and more than adequate.
Pool while not big, was big enough for laps, and right on the beachfront.
Beach was excellent and stretched for kilometers to the north and about about 1 kilo to Ta Karib.
Restaurant was excellent, and overlooked the Beach. Try the Irish coffees,to die for and a work of art.
Had a meal at Madame Greens, just down the beach. This is a must if you like Thai seafood.
Mainly a local restaurant and food is great.
We were sorry to leave .
While not in Hua Hin propper is only 5 min by Local open air hop on hop off taxi and only 15Bt per person into town, or 150Bt for a taxi. Hotel also has a shuttle service.
If and when we return will stay here again.

My husband & I are just back from a relaxing 2 wk break at this hotel. It's a small intimate resort with lovely central courtyard, excellent location on beach and restaurant overlooking sea is wonderful. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Most of the other guests were Japanese & European. The hotel is approx 10 mins by car/tuk tuk from centre of Hua Hin so walking into town is impossible but hotel has comp mini bus at 10am, 6pm & 6.30 pm and tuk tuk is only €2/£1.50 each way so this isn't a problem. Thai massage available on beach directly outside hotel 1hr costs 200 Baht approx €4/£2.75 excellent value. Our studio room was nice & comfortable but I wouldn't say it was luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed our hol & would definately recommend this hotel to couples of any age but families with teenagers may find it too quiet/remote.
