We’re in an idyllic garden setting in Khao Takiab, just two and a half hours from Bangkok. That’s on the glittering Gulf of Thailand, so we’ve got all of the sand, sea, and surf covered. But Hua Hin has so much to offer, so be prepared for a packed schedule full of fun. For added sparkle to your stay, we’re just five minutes from Hua Hin Town and Hua Hin Famous Market. Nearby, you’ll also find Market Village, a next-generation shopping mall featuring a large food center and entertainment complex. We highly recommend Cicada Market at the weekends. It has everything from clothes, handicrafts, and street food to amazing local works of art. For a few baht, you can even have your own portrait painted. Be sure to pick up some colourful gifts here for your friends and loved ones back home. For a change of pace, one hour away is Hua Hin Hills Vineyard, home to the award-winning Monsoon Valley label and other ‘new latitude wines’. Spend half a day here and indulge in the wine-tasting and dining opportunities in this 560-acre estate.

We haven't stayed in this hotel for 5 years. It was good then, it is fabulous now!
The rooms are quite modern and spacious with a nice powerful shower. Lovely and quiet with super pillows.
The turn down service is very classy.

A big improvement for us is the installation of the new Executive Lounge. It is very smart with a nice evening cocktail and canape selection. Thank you K. Noi for the lovely service. The breakfasts in the Lounge were excellent.

Of all the Amaris we have visited - this has the best Spa. Recommended.

Down on the Shoreline Restaurant - I am so pleased nothing has changed here. The hot rock table cooking is still so unique; to be able to cook your own piece of meat to a perfect temperature from your seat. In front of the ocean! BTW. The lamb chops are still the best!

Just returned from seven night family holiday over Christmas and New Year with our two daughters (mid twenties). We had a warm welcome and two rooms in building 1 but non pool facing. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and a credit to the hotel.
The general manager is hands on and always visable and checking on guests.
On our first night we could hear a lot of noise and music from the main road so in the morning spoke to receiption about chaning one of our rooms. I believe this was dealt with my Mirisa who found us a room in Building 2 which was much quiter in the evening. She was very helpful and dealt with our request without fuss and effieciently.
Both rooms was spacious, clean, modern and aircon worked welll.
Breakfast catered for all tastes and offered a wide and varied selection.
Although the hotel got busier towards New Year we always found beds by the pool and service by the pool was good. Nice selection of drinks and food.
Sometimes we walked down to the beach (5 minute walk) to enjoy the sunset.
As others have mentioned a short walk takes you to the local night markets (i believe weekends only) and while i have always been a little worried about eating in the markets this was unfounded as the food at Cicada was great. Lovelly atmosphere and would highly recomend.
Also from the hotel a shuttle bus takes you to the "clock tower" close to another nightly market offering a wide variety of sea food.
Outside the hotel were several massage shops which were great and several restaurants. All good and very reasonable.

New Year at the Amari was in one word "FAB". One of the best buffets i have seen and a great atmosphere with everone including some of the staff dancing the night away to a live band. Great evening so thank you Amari.
There were a lot of kids at the hotel which was not an issue but pool could get a little noisy at times but nice to see everyone having a good time.

Came home feeling relaxed and re-charged.

We have stayed in Amari hotels in Thailand before. Without a doubt this is their best run property.
On arrival we were welcomed by the reception staff as loyal Amari guests. Our arrival was an hour before normal check in time but we were provided with complimentary coffee whilst we waited. When our room was ready they had kindly upgraded us to a suite on the 7th floor.
The suite was perfect, plenty of room for us and gave us a very nice experience for the 3 days. It was spotlessly clean and all the normal room extras were provided.
The hotel site itself is about 10 minutes south of the main Hua Hin center. The hotel provide a regular shuttle bus to take you into town which was on time and reliable.
There are a couple of swimming pools both of which are well kept and presented. The staff around the pool are helpful with towels etc and tidy up after some tourists who just walk off leaving towels etc lying on beds.
Breakfast was very good and relaxing. Good variety of all foods to cater for most tastes.
So overall I can't fault this hotel. The outstanding feature are the staff who are very nice seem genuinely interested and engaging with guests.

My wife and I have stayed in the residents condos of the Amari for the last 3 months, so have a fair understanding of the workings of the Amari and the management and security. Normally I would start with the positives with any review, but on this occasion I will start with the negatives.

Since just before Christmas the whole area has been overrun with tourists from Russia. They have stayed in cheap accommodation near to the Amari. That in itself is not a problem. Where the problem arises is that the Amari are letting these people walk through reception and use the facilities, including all the pool areas taking towels and sun beds meaning that those paying guests staying in the Amari have nowhere to sit.
An example, three days ago at the Shoreline. Three families of Russians arrive with their buggies, place children in nappies into the pool (not swim nappies), take said nappies off once out of the pool, ring them out and later put them back on their children. Absolutely gross behaviour. I spoke to staff, as I had seen some of these people come out of My Resort, next door to the Amari and eventually they were asked to leave. Later that day whilst walking to reception of the hotel I saw the same group by the main pool, buggies and all.
Two days ago, again at the Shoreline, two Russian guests staying in the condos arrive. They then take 4 towels and place them on 4 sun beds so as to save them. They were then joined by approximately 12 others, who clearly were not staying at the Amari and had been seen by other guests coming out of a nearby condo block. Later in the day we saw Amari guests walking away from the Shoreline as all the Sun beds had been taken and I am sure some of these people, like us would have purchased food and drink whilst there, something these Russian were not doing as they had brought with them containers with fruit, and the odd Chang Beer.
The Amari has become a bit of a laughing stock amongst long term guests. If they took the time to look on the Balconies of the cheap Condo block next to the hotel they will see blue towels on the balconies, spookily similar to the ones that are handed out at the pool area. They would also see Russian tourists taking a short cut from there to the Amari pool.
I could go on, but would say this. Please sort out your security as it is appalling, spoiling the experience of long and short term guests. You are also losing so much revenue due to this. It would be simple to check people coming through reception, those with buggies are the main offenders. Ask for their key card, the same with the Shoreline. Get them removed.
On the positive. The hotel and grounds are really well maintained and the staff are so nice, perhaps to nice as they will not challenge unacceptable behaviour or unauthorised guests.
I have travelled all over the world and never experienced such a free for all in a hotel complex.

We all enjoyed a wonderful holiday here. The staff are most welcoming and helpful and the hotel is very clean and comfortable, as are the beds which ensure a good night's sleep. The rooms are spacious but we did find there was insufficient storage space, the drawers are very shallow but we managed ok. We were B & B and the delicious breakfast is extensive, including Thai, Japanese and English choices.
We didn't use the Spa but did use the smaller pool at the Shoreline Bar, as we enjoyed being next to the sea so we could walk the beach. There is a buggy service between the hotel and the beach or you can walk down in about ten minutes.
The gardens are attractive with flowers, trees and streams. The fruit on their jackfruit tree is enormous! The Eurasian Hoopoe visits the lawns regularly to feed and the Common Mynah birds are always present. We also saw a Tree Shrew in the grounds.

Spent 4 nights here mid January, fast check in and very good english speaking staff . We had a 2 bedroom family room on the 4th floor that over looked the street , but couldn’t hear any traffic noise . The room was as per the pics of all the hotel websites , and in fact larger than than we expected . Everything was of a high standard with nothing out of place . There is a huge main pool with many sun loungers , the pool bar staff were right on their game and were always making sure everything was ok .
Was our daughters birthday while here and they surprised her with a little cake around the pool and sang happy birthday. A great touch .
With a second cake left by the room turn down staff that night . Huge thumbs up .
They have their own beach club about 400 meters down a lane way . About a 10 min walk each way or they run a on demand golf buggy service that will take u too and from . The tide was always high during our visit so was a little hard to get in and out of the sea . There is a great pool here too with sun loungers , a bar and restaurant . Great staff here too .
We had breakfast here 2 mornings , and all was top notch . A great sized buffet set up . Just right , and not over done .
All in all we had the best time here and would stay here again on our next visit .

This hotel is situated out of town but within easy reach of it with many options to get there including the hotel free shuttle and local transportation all available.
We stayed for 19 nights this time and even on an extended stay we still had plenty of options at the buffet breakfast as the choice is so good. The only improvement we would like to see would be the addition of a plate warmer so the food stayed warmer for longer.
The accommodation rooms are a good size and the housekeeping staff keep them in a really clean condition.
Pools are great, the gardens are neat and the spa is also very nice with a really lovely team.
Dear Amari Hua Hin staff, my wife and I wish to express our thanks for looking after us during our recent stay with you and would like to mention a few names who really made us welcome.
At the pool we were looked after by Kwan, Koi, Aor, Tan and of course Pop!
Jeab and Nana welcomed us at breakfast most mornings with a lovely smile! Jai on the concierge desk arranged whatever we needed!
Thanks to all and we we will meet again soon. Martin and Sandra.

Four of us spent 8 days at the Amari and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The rooms are based around the swimming pool and have a balcony. The facilities are good and the housekeeping staff make a good job o cleaning the room daily.
Breakfast offers a good range of choices and we enjoyed the very large swimming pool. The hotel offers a service into Hua Hin although it is very cheap to take a taxi. There is a local weekend market five minutes walk away which is well worth a visit.
All the staff were very helpful and were always smiling.. A good choice for a break at the seaside.

We went there during the weekday, so there are less people and no buffet setting for breakfast but we can order unlimited drinks and bakery. We've asked for specific room request and the hotel can manage for us which is very impressive.
Check in and check out were very fast and smooth.
Main Pool is big and clean and they also have another small pool by the beach. We have order foods and taste is very good yet pricey as it's the hotel's.
We can walk to the beachfront in 5 mins but they also have buggy service.

It's my first time with the Amari brand and it's beyond expectation. I decided to stay here because of first, the better offer comparing to other hotels nearby and the second, the walkable distance to the beach (about 550 metres) or you can request a free buggy ride.

I stayed here for 4 nights in Deluxe Room. The room was clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The shower was good with hot and cold temperatures. There were also a proper desk and a comfy sofa.

The hotel had many delicious food selections for you to enjoy. Breakfast at Mosaic was good and had a very nice ambience. There were a variety of tasty menus including Thai and Western menus. Dinner at Shoreline Beach Club was also good. I had Hor Mok Seafood and seared beef on the hot rock. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there was a special weekend night in which you can choose one main dish and enjoy a buffet of salad, Thai chilli paste, rice, and desserts.

As the hotel is such a good hotel for families, it was quite busy during the weekend, especially in the pool area. However, there are other facilities which you can enjoy such as a fitness centre and resort activities (table tennis, badminton, volleyball, mini-golf, mini football, etc.

The service here is exceptional! Thank you very much to Khun Chom who's provided such a touching service, and all staff at the reception, the Coral Lounge, and the Shoreline Beach Club, for making my entire stay an unforgettable one.

Definitely coming back to Amari Hua Hin!
