We booked this's elf catering property because it was detached, it's remoteness and the fact that it didn't take pets. To our surprise the owners stayed in the property attached to the house and they owned 3 dogs which had the run of the garden and were allowed to poop anywhere. The house and views were lovely as were the... More

We stayed here for a week self catering. The house is just wonderfull, great size with a full utility room, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The most amazing views, beautiful beaches and so peaceful. Helen & Graham are both lovely, we would highly recommend Graham'a fishing trip as we had a great afternoon and Helens sweedish massage was amazing! Left... More

This is a spectacular place to stay, not only because of the stunning location but the accommodation is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The hosts Helen and Graham are wonderful - very welcoming, helpful and laid back and always keen to assist in any way if called upon. As a working croft there is the added attraction of watching the... More

This immaculate house is everything I look for in a self catering property plus that extra something. Through Helen and Graham you get a taste of life on a croft. The walks in this area are numerous and varied with breathtaking scenery . The views from the house are also spectacular. This part of Scotland is not to be missed... More

A fabulous house with a perfect location. Our family holiday was relaxing for the grandparents and ideal for us to head off for walks leaving the teenagers happy on the wifi! The house has everything needed for a weeks holiday and the owners are very helpful and on hand. The view of the sea and being able to walk to... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Split Rock Croft this April in the room on the first floor. Everything was newly renovated and the room had stunning views, Helen was a great host and we just loved her breakfast! Would love to stay there again, highly recommended place and area!

Wow! What a great wee find. A stunning family house in an amazing location. The views from the breakfast room made it really difficult to depart for work. I could have sat there all day watching the stormy seas, then the blue skies, the various birds fleein' aboot and all this with a decent cup of coffee and the best... More

We booked this B&B based on the previous reviews. The views are absolutely wonderful and the B&B is set on an idyllic location. However, we were not so fortunate with the service. Helen wrote to us saying that she would be away during our two-day stay but that her husband Graham would be in charge. While we appreciate Graham’s kindness,... More

We are very sorry that Alberto was disappointed with the service that he received at Split Rock Croft. As he mentions, I was away unexpectedly that weekend and Graham stepped up to look after the guests. This is not Graham's normal role within the business and we have now realised that he is more suited to looking after our livestock... More
