We were unfortunate on two accounts, firstly our Travel Agent only booked us in for one night (big mistake) and we arrived in a tropical thunderstorm. The hotel is only accessible to foot traffic and we had to walk about 100m in torrential rain, thoughly soaked and entirely depressed. Why the Architect didnt consider that it rains in Sri Lanka...

We have little to add to the many reviews of Living Heritage - a beautifully designed property with 4 suites in 80 acres of unspoilt countryside. The pool was outstanding! We also enjoyed swimming in the waterfall and the cookery demonstration. Hopper demo at breakfast was a lovely touch when my wife enquired about how they were made. In some...

This amazing little hidden gem was a wonderful surprise. Our tour operator had billed it as 'medium' standard but to us it was first class and the place we enjoyed most on our 12 day tour of Sri Lanka. It's not signposted at all so make sure you get your driver to call in advance for directions. Its actually very...

Dear SaraV_10 Wow! Thanks so so much for so many lovely words - I don't know where to begin. Only to say it was a joy to have you stay with us, and that of course we are thrilled you had such a good stay. The swim in the waterfall pool is pending, as are the elephants - so you...

Amazed at level of service and comfort at this resort with only 4 rooms. We enjoyed the luxurious and spacious accommodation totally free of guilt because of the positive impact this development has had on local community, by providing villagers with employment new skills and hospitality training and experience. Each member of the 18 strong team of staff focussed on...

We stayed for only 2 nights in this very peacefull place and would advice everybody to stay at least 3 nights in order to discover fully the richness of the surroundings. From arrival to departure we have been spoiled by the outstanding crew. The domain is 80 hectares situated in the jungle and has only 4 huge rooms which make...

Dear Tom V How we wish you could have stayed for 3 nights too - we agree - 2 nights only scratches the surface, and we definitely don't recommend just a 1 night stay. But it's great that in the time you had you really got a feel for the forest and the estate, and of course that you were...

We stayed in the cottage the further way away from the main lodgings for two nights. The good stuff: *Peaceful property with well maintained gardens and stunning pool *Clean and spacious rooms equipped with games, yoga mats etc. *Attentive staff *Driver lodgings available Improvement areas *Property only has one copy of the room key. Meaning for us that when we...

During our trip we stayed there for 3 nights and it happened to be that we were the only guests throughout the entire time. Everyone was so attentive and did their level best to keep this place top notch and to make us feel comfortable. They only serve set menus in the evenings, but the food is outstanding! We were...

A great place to spend a few days on your trip through Sri Lanka. Go swimming in the waterfalls, visit the rubber plantation and spend some time at the pool. All very nice. The food is excellent and not to spicy.

This place is truly stunning. Not only do you have spacious and luxurious accommodation but you also have access to the extensive gardens, grounds and jungle. At most times it feels like you have the whole estate to yourselves and you can choose how you spend your time here. A walk to the waterfall, sunning yourself by the pool or...

Dear victoria a Apologies for the belated thanks for taking the time to leave your lovely feedback here for us. We really feel that our estate is a little slice of natural paradise - and it's very easy to find a little spot where you might feel you're the only people on earth - 80 acres means its very easy...

I stayed here for just one night and have a lot of positive things to say about the property. The suite that I stayed in was incredibly spacious and the grounds are beautiful and the setting is wonderfully remote for getting away from it all. The outlook from the swimming pool is great, and we loved spotting wild monkeys in...
