My fiancé and I were staying here with friends and we were waiting to see what it was like having read some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The house is not modern but it has lots of character and our rooms were comfortable and clean. The girl who showed us to our room was very pleasant and the...

Room & bathroom were really untidy, the bed was uncomfortable. The woman who welcomed us was cold. She even didn't ask us if we enjoyed our stay and just ask us the payment of the room. The only good point was the breakfast, who wasn't so bad. If others b&bs are available, don't go there !

We booked this B&B for 4 nights, but checked out after one night. The owners were nowhere to be seen, the room was dingy, scruffy and tiny, with an ensuite shower room that was the size of a postage stamp, i couldn't dry myself after showering in there, you couldn't move around the basin. The room was not clean, the...

I recently stayed in this b & b with a few friends during the weekend of the Maumturk walking festival as we always do each year. Our room was very clean, warm and we had a comfortable night's sleeps as always. The fantastic view over the fjord was an added bonus. On arrival the owner explained to us as to...

This really is the worst B and B I have ever stayed in. Let me start by saying I am not fussy, as long as the room is clean, and the breakfast is ok, I don't mind if the house is in need of a little bit of TLC. Killary House has a fantastic view and a lovely location within...

We were on a cycling tour and had planned to stay somewhere else but due to the rain we decided to stop earlier at Killary House instead. The older owner and ex-sheep farmer (as we found out) was genuine and caring enough to take us in and he also helped to dry our clothes near the stove in their kitchen...

I can't stress strongly enough how much of a rip off I felt this B&B to be. At €70 per night I at least expected a friendly greeting and this didn't happen. We weren't shown to our room, rather told "its up there at the end of the passage" as the owner shuffled off into the kitchen. The bedroom had...

I had a wonderful time at Killary House and found the owners very friendly when I saw them. I got lots of information about where to go and what to do (always useful when you are a lone traveller) I had a room with a fantastic view of Killary Harbour which was just wonderful to wake up to each morning....

This was the most disappointing place we stayed in during our month touring Ireland it was also the most expensive outside Dublin especially as it was stated in the B&B guide as an Award Winning establishment. At the time of our stay the B&B was being run by a very young Czech with very marginal English. Our room was cramped...

Staying at Killary House was a experience! when we arrived they weren't sure which rooms to put us in and what rooms we wanted (although we had booked). The woman we dealt with was a bit unfriendly as well. My room was fine. Some of the others had issues with cold showers and in general the whole place needed refurbishment....
