As it was our 25th wedding anniversary we took a trip away overnight with our family. We booked two doubles and one single room. On arrival staff were friendly and checked us in promptly. Our rooms were spotlessly clean with amazing mountain and sea views. The balconys were small but useable. We had dinner in the bar our waiter/barman was...

Apart from the Fjord location the Hotel offers a comfortable base that allows access to both Connemara and Southern Mayo. Doolough Valley to the North of the Fjord offers a tonic of sadness, reality and beauty to the extreme. The dinner menu at the Hotel offers the best seafood I have experienced on recent travels, the staff are efficient and...

Ate lunch here today and I have to say it was proper tasty. The food was well presented and plentiful. Good value and the Guinness here is exceptional! A thoroughly enjoyable experience. We've eaten here a few times and it's consistently good!! Friendly & helpful staff!! 5/5!

Nice older hotel in a beautiful location. Rooms were comfortable, if a little worn. Updating would be a good idea. Beds were comfortable. Our first room had a smell so we requested another room which was fine. Very nice small pub downstairs next to the restaurant, had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Very good both times with excellent...

This hotel did not disappoint. We have passed it while travelling for quite a few years and always promised to stay here one time. We took the opportunity late in October for 2 days and had a very relaxing break. The room was very good, the views were spectacular, the food was excellent, and the staff could not have been...

This is a family run hotel that accepts dogs too, the food is wonderful, the decor in definite need of TLC but this hotel would be ruined if modern designs were to override it's great charm. I come here at least twice a year and just love the atmosphere and the scenery is second to none.

Stayed here for two nights when my husband was partaking in the Killary Fjord Great Swim. Lovely olde world hotel with a jaw dropping view. We had booked a superior room which exceeded my expectations, great view, nicely decorated modern room with plenty of space. Hotel was very busy with the weekend that was in it, with plenty of race...

Had a three night break in the hotel. Rates are good, food is good, the setting is stunning overlooking the Fjord. Near enough to drive to Mayo, Galway City and to explore Connemara. Seaweed baths, amazing Brown Bread and to top it all you can bring your dog! Hotel is pet friendly. Our room while not modern was a good...

Cannot fault this hotel in any department, apart from not having a lift. The location is brilliant, right by and overlooking the Lough and near the Killary Ffjord. Its hard to find the words to describe the scenery. Brilliant and breathtaking come to mind. The hotel is on a fairly busy road and although our room overlooked both the road...

Everything about this place is special. We were here as a family for three days. The location is amazing on Killary Fjord, a few minutes from the national park, coast and Kyle more abbey. The hotel is wonderful; simple, comfortable with fantastic personal service. It offers excellent food, the mussels come from outside in the fjord and are a rare...
