Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Toilet auto close doors make a loud bang all day and all evening. Kids skid their bikes in the dirt all day long pushing dust over our meals, but their parents do nothing and the park mangers don't manage it. Same kids put stuff in their wheel spokes to make extra noise, again their parents and park mangers don't manage it. After two days constant dust and noise it became too much for me. The sites are tight. We took a long time to park our small 14 ft camper, and our next door neighbour had to unhitch and manually push their small van into their site. I felt compelled to pick up all the cigarette butts and bottle tops around our small site before setting up. I've stayed in 13 other caravan parks in SA over past 12 months without any issues so I don't think I'm being grizzly here.

An affordable priced clean and tidy caravan park located next to the jetty. All powered sites bar a few are grassed and the ablution block is well maintained. The on site kiosk has a extensive menu to cater for just about everyone. Friendly customer focussed park managers. Highly recommend.

Park has a very relaxed feel. Facilities excellent with lawn areas being rejuvenated as I type. Lovely swim beach almost at front gate. Steps or ramp access to beach. We had a seafront cabin and could sit at table and watch waves, ocean views and the jetty. Kiosk had good value options currently running on set hours so be aware of hours to organise any meals needed. Nearest main shop minlaton 17klm on bitumen road. We saw this as an advantage (we like the quietness).

We arrived after the office closed on a Friday night of a long weekend. We had communicated this to management prior and they texted our site number and the gate code, and we were told to check out our site location on the map on the noticeboard. On arrival we looked at the map but had difficulty working out exactly where our site was. We were at the board for sometime when the manager came out and offered absolutely no help, asking us to drop in the morning to pay the balance owing. We drove around the park and could not locate our site number and ended up having a group of permanent residents looking as well, when one of them decided it must be next to his site as the site number indicated that. There was no number indicator on any site in this area, and the map showed a dead end street which did not exist! When on our site we could not locate the power box only to discover it was behind someones permanent residence and there were so many spider webs inside that we could not locate the on switch. The permanent residents were really friendly, thankfully as we were tucked in the middle of them all. The rest of the park is lovely and a great location.

We thought seeing that the Manager was actually on the premises when we arrived that he could have taken the extra 30 seconds to tell us exactly where our site was and give us a printed map, rather than the photo we had to take on our phone.

Love the location had a site right on the front overlooking the jetty. Amenities were clean BUT I don't believe they were cleaned every day, certainly the floors were not cleaned and the bin didn't get emptied until the hand towels were falling out. On the website kiosk hours show closing 6pm, in fact they closed at 5pm!

This is a lovely spot. Park just a stroll to the jetty and beautiful beach. Had a few lovely swims and did a lot of fishing. We stayed in a cabin which was a bit disappointing, considering you pay the most in the caravan park for the cabins, the positioning of the cabins are not good unless you are lucky enough to stay in the one facing the ocean. We stayed in February which was hot and had no shade. We had the cabin next to the rain water tank. We had to sit right next to the water tank to get some shade. The cabin was clean but the only downside was the shower, water pressure is atrocious and not very hot. The kiosk is a bonus. Convenient for snacks and if you don't feel like cooking, lunch and dinner meals are available. Other than that a beautiful spot. We might be back one day only if there is shade available for the cabins. If staying in summer beware.

Lovely Caravan Park and setting. Cabin was very clean and good location. Could see the ocean from the Dining Room and Bedroom 1. Staff were lovely and friendly. Loved the way they sent us a text one day while we were out to advise what was available for dinner as a special if we were interested. Nice Touch.
The beach was beautiful, spent a couple of nights sitting on the foreshore with a glass of wine and watching the sunset and taking in the beautiful view. Plenty of birdlife.
Great base to tour the Yorke Peninsula
Will definitely be back and would recommend to family and friends.

We had almost cyclonic conditions tonight. Some people lost their awnings. Management should have driven around and checked on the well being of patrons instead of ignoring the situation.
Currently no water in showers and toilets. You think they would have a generator if their was a power outage. Disgusting generally a reasonable park but show empathy to people. Roger

The caravan park facilities were clean and tidy. On checking in the shop was clean and staff very friendly. On the outskirts of the park are public toilets and bbq’s that are the responsibility of the council and nothing to do with the caravan park so are not as the same cleanliness of the interior abolition block that is part of the caravan park. The sites were level and grassed where we were situated.

Hi, early April would be a great time to visit this area as the hot weather would be over and moving into cooler days and nights. There are several fishing charters available on southern Yorke peninsula. There is a charter that operates out of both Marion Bay and Edithburge that I am aware of and there could be others but the further south you go the better the fishing especially if you could find one that goes out to Wedge Island. There is good squid and garfish fishing of the jetty at Port Rickaby especially in the warmer weather.
