Stayed for just one night but would loved to have had time to stay longer! The place is magical, so tastefully decorated in a quirky way. We stayed in the main house and our room was en suite. It was spotless and the owner Siubhan was warm and incredibly welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, actually it was one of the best that we had during our week in Donegal. It’s served in a breakfast box style but the quality of the food was excellent. Sausage and egg bap with sweet onion relish, rubarb, yoghurt and granola, orange juice and an energy ball. I had a stroll around the grounds after breakfast and the choice of quirky accommodation is fab, a railway carriage, bell tent or even a boat! Fantastic. The communal areas, kitchen, sitting rooms etc were spotless clean and again very tastefully decorated. I look forward to returning here again some day.

We stayed in the boat at corcreggan mill. The accommodation was immaculate and had everything needed to cook breakfast/lunch/dinner. The bed was extremely comfortable and wrap around curtains & blinds provided great privacy. My only issue was the water pressure in the shower was not enough to wash my hair. I did use the communal showers which were also immaculate and had excellent pressure and really warm water which was needed after a day of surfing. My only issue (which wasn’t really an issue on corcreggans part) was the children staying within the campsite climbing on the roof and at the bow of the boat. I Would suggest that corcreggan include in the pre arrival that the boat is not accessible unless you have specifically rented it. All in all I would recommend corcreggan mill and would stay again. Also, the breakfast in a box is so worthwhile and great value!

We had fish and chips for the first time here last night. We telephoned a few hours earlier and put in our order and then arrived in the evening. We knew that there was no covered seating for non-residents so we came prepared with our coats. But as soon as our food was ready, the heavens really opened and it really was Donegal weather. A female staff member took pity on us and was extremely kind in offering us a comfortable place where we could sit and be dry - we were incredibly appreciative.

This fish and chips served with mushy peas and delicious tartare sauce, were very good indeed. 12 euros per portion and well worth it. The children had fish bites for 7.50 euros and again well worth it.

We had a very good evening and look forward to returning. Thank you so much to the staff member for being so kind and making our evening such a positive experience.

Corcreggan mill, what a stay, where does one even start with a review.
We stayed in the railway carriage, the bed was lovely and comfortable. It was super clean and the bedding more than comfortable.
The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day, and The staff were all lovely and helpful.
We had food the both nights we stayed, simple and delicious. We also noticed locals calling in as the food was that delicious.
We got the calamari, fish tacos and the fish & chips. We also got a bottle of sparkling wine both nights as it was super. They serve a selection of wines, all of which priced very well and the sparkling wine really tasted great.
I really cannot fault the place, it was a fantastic location to use as a base and spend an evening after exploring. They have a living room in the old mill with a fire blazing too which was lovely to relax beside after our day.
The surroundings on the site are just fantastic and we went on a boat trip to see the islands which we booked on site. It was great, they had musicians playing on the boat, who told stories of the island.
I will definitely be back to Corcreggan Mill, and next time I’m going to stay in the boat! I really am Blown away at the set up there, thanks for such an enjoyable stay, best staycation ever.
Also, the shack coffee shop, defo worth the little spin, lovely for a coffee and a walk on the beach!!

We booked out the Corcreggan Mill for our Staff Christmas Celebration party/getaway and had an incredible time. We wanted to treat our staff and clients to a night away with food, drink, music and delightful hospitality and we weren’t disappointed.
Siubhán & Ciarán were a pleasure to deal with throughout. On their advice we hired a private chef who cooked the most incredible meal for us served up by the wonderful Amanda and Sarah and all our our guests commented on how amazing a location it was to host such an event. We hired brilliant a local jazz musician Paul McIntyre to entertain us. Log fires were lit, the wine bar and the baby grand piano were just perfect to wind down and the bedrooms were so comfortable and cosy. We spent the following day swimming in the sea and walking the incredible local beaches. Wow! Such memories!

We will make this an annual event and can’t recommend the place highly enough.

Thank you Corcreggan Mill

Corcreggan Mill is a hidden gem that you MUST visit when travelling through Donegal. A stones through from Dunfanaghy village, Corcreggan Mill is one of the best experiences of Irish hospitality. Friends of ours stayed inside the main house and were mighty impressed with the welcome they received. The campside facilities are also well maintained and the onsite team are very helpful.
Catering wise, the weekend breakfast was one of the best I have had and the kids options were equally excellent. We also enjoyed dinner one night and the fish and chips would have you coming back for more.
Can't wait to go back with the new campervan this summer!

What a cool place! My wife, three kids (2, 4 and 6) and I have just returned from a two night break at Corcreggan Mill. We had an amazing time. From the moment you arrive you’ll feel the chilled out vibe. It’s a really relaxing place.

We stayed in a two bedroom family room (rooms 7 and 8). One room had a double bed and the other had a double and bunk beds. We also had our own bathroom with shower. The main door into the family room can be locked which allowed us to open up the rooms and we had loads of space. The kids loved the bunks and all the space allowed them to play board games. They had great fun!

The trails around the grounds and secret gardens were also a highlight for them, they loved exploring. There’s also an expansive area with a volley ball net which was perfect for playing football. There were lots of picnic areas around the property and a really cool fire pit. The views and sunset over the lake were amazing.

Breakfast was served both mornings in the main house. It was delicious. Yogurt, fresh juice and toasties for the kids and loads of choice for us. It had a really homely atmosphere. There were tea making facilities in the dining room which we frequently used throughout the trip. All the staff were very welcoming and so accommodating to anything we needed.

Corgreggan Mill has a great location between Dunfanaghy and Falcarragh and is a super base for all the local beaches and forest parks etc.

We can’t wait to return in high season to sample the fish and chips and some live music.

Thanks a million

I stayed for one night's camping with my daughters on Saturday last and as usual we had a lovely stay. I have been visiting here for many years now and the recent upgrades have made a beautiful and special place even more so! We loved the new camping pitches with scenic views, the seafood was,as always, amazing, the breakfast boxes a great new idea and so tasty, great value too if you book in advance. We will be back!

Corcreggan Mill is just outside Dunfanaghy and was a perfect location our four-day holiday in Donegal. We stayed in the converted rail carriages with two of our kids (15 and 9) and had a fantastic time. The crowd is a friendly mix of campers, campervan owners, glampers and regular campers. The place is extremely family friendly and staff couldn't be more helpful. The fish and chip van / bar / outside seating is buzzing in the evenings (Thurs - Sun at the moment). Facilities are really good for a camp/glamp site and we particularly liked the breakfast in a box (veg and vegan options available) to start our days. Also just to say the facilities were kept very, very clean with regular sanitizing. We'll defo be back at some stage.

Stayed last night with our motorhome for just the one night. Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us and we nearly blew away! But that is in no way the fault of the campsite. I can't really fault it. It's like a pretty little holiday village with camping and glamping, motorhome bays and B&B too, as far as I know. The communication was great from the team before arrival. Our pitch was great, and because we were the only ones stupid enough to venture out in the inclement weather, we had our choice of spots. We chose a high pitch to enjoy the views. of the local inlets and dunes. The site is beautifully laid out with the old mill at the front and various outbuildings and houses dotted about, all tastefully done up in keeping with the old buildings. There are really cute glamping railway carriages that can be booked, a quaint old red phone box, lovely outdoor lighting a cool boat shaped viewing platform to take in the local views and sunsets and an outdoor seating area and gardens. It's all so nicely done. The toilets are very clean too and have all the requisite hand sanitisers etc. Our only very small gripe is that the grey waste drain was very tiny and we would have had difficulty maneovering our big motorhome into the right position to use it. But that's only minor details. We would have loved to have visited Corcreggan on a sunnier, drier day in the high season to be able to avail of all of the facilities that are open during the summer months. I would say it's buzzing, between the outdoor seating and the gardens and the takeaway etc. I recall passing on a hot summer's day before we got our motorhome and thinking it looked very cool. Overall, very excited to go back next year when the weather may be kinder to us. I would highly recommend this site. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back!

Yes, this would be a good location. When I stayed in corcreggan mill there was a few people with dogs so I assume dogs are allowed. In Dunfanagy town there are a good few pubs and restaurants although pre bookings for food are needed.im not sure about live music. We went there during the week so weekend may be different.
