Spent one night here with my husband as wanted a base to go to Powerscourt Gardens. The hotel is very old fashioned. rooms very small, no tea/coffee making facilities, had to ask for a hair dryer and no phone in room. No problem with cleanliness but upstairs is fairly shabby. We ate in the restaurant and couldn't really fault it,...

We were surprised at the extensiveness of the formal gardens at Powerscourt. What a treat! We had decided to venture over the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough and noticed signs for Powerscourt on the route. So glad we decided to check it out. The grand estate "home" is a wonderful venue for large formal gatherings, despite being nearly destroyed in a...

Don't get this hotel confused with the Powerscourt hotel which is located in the Powerscourt Gardens at the edge of town! This is a little boutique hotel right in the middle of town, and at half the price of the Summerhill and the other Powerscourt hotel, it's excellent value for money if you're on a budget. The staff were amazingly...

Went here with my partner for a quick getaway. Stayed on a Sunday night. The restaurant (the lounge) seemed quite busy from the time we arrived. We enquired about closing time and lucky we did as we made it just in time for last orders. On a Sunday evening the restaurant closes at 8. There must have been about 4/5...

My girlfriend and I dropped in here for a coffee while on a drive to Enniskerry. The place was dirty and there was an unfriendly atmosphere in the bar. There was actually mold on the walls. There were two loud televisions on at the same time. We should have walked around the town before settling on this place, as we...

Rooms were clean and bedlinen was fresh but the rest of the hotel needed serious freshening up. The bar area has been decorated but there is no natural light. For such a good location the hotel is missing a trick. We had booked for two nights but decided to check out and go elsewhere for the second night.
