The food was absolutely divine but the deserts are to die for. The ambience in Townsend tapas is lovely, it's very relaxing....

Townsend House is a lovely B and B in Ireland. We chanced upon it one night and were pleasantly surprised. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and the room and breakfast were superb. There is a tapas bar adjoining that provided an excellent meal in a lovely atmosphere.

We staid here for a wedding, which was at a hotel in Birr. Perfect location we were able to walk home from the hotel. Clean, spacious and loads of charm. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good! We parked across the street facing the B&B overnight, no issues with street parking.

Townsend House is well situated in Birr. The proprietors make everyone feel welcome and 'at home'. It has extremely comfortable accommodation and the whole property is beautifully decorated. In particular the tapas restaurant is very stylish with a wonderful atmosphere.
