I stayed regularly at the Harbour Masters in 2015 and loved it. Grainne is a lovely host, making it a very welcoming and friendly place to stay, in a great location. It is right beside the canal but also has views over the wonderful Shannon Callows at the back. Everything is done to a high standard - the rooms are...

If you're looking for peace and calm, this has to be it! Absolutely fabulous, situated on the Grand Canal, no through traffic only the river boats, just perfect for switching off. Grainne was lovely and helpful, gave us details of where we might like to eat or go for a walk and allowed us space to just relax. Our room...

After missing out on last years visit to Shannon Harbour, the hubby and I returned this year to spend 5 nights at The Harbour Master's (23rd-28th July). Since staying here for the first time in 2011 we have been hooked. This B&B is a real gem and a huge credit to Grainne and Jim. I can't impress enough, the genuine...

I have made it yearly visit bringing friends to see Shannon Harbour and being such a unique place. 1 B&B and 1 pub where the Shannon River meets the Grand Canal. We are met by great host Grainne. We sit around in lounge and she gets to meet the friends that I have brought over this year. The house was...

This perfect little B & B was just what the doctor ordered after 3 and 1/2 weeks touring Ireland. The warm welcome from Grainne and the local ladies in the pub was much appreciated. Our room was lovely with views over the canal and breakfast was great. Shannon Harbour was very quiet but we found plenty to do in the...

Grainne and Jim are the most warm and sincere people i have ever met and they went well out of their way to ensure that we had a perfect holiday. The surrounding area is both interseting and senic with some wonderful walks and fishing spots, you are literally right beside the...

This is one of the most average B&B I have ever stayed in. It does not live up to the photos nor indeed the rave reviews (you people must never get out!). The decor is very twee and dated...tiny beds in tiny rooms...mabye I need a diet but when I bent down in the 'en suite' to brush teeth my...

If you don't know to aim for Shannon harbour then you might have trouble locating this beautiful B&B. It is set beside the canal a couple of miles out of Banagher. I can best of describe it as the quietest night I have ever had set well away from traffic with a view of the canal to the front and...
