Everything about this place ; the aroma of home baking, the decor, the host, the ambience, make this an absolute gem of a B&B. I would not look anywhere else if staying in Birr. First Class ! A rare find.

I took pictures of the furniture! The staff were wonderfully warm and helpful. Birr is not overrun by tourists. We were looking for a midlands location with a nearby attraction. Birr Castle and the Leviathan telescope (on the grounds) are a short walk away. Breakfast options were varied, with lots of fresh fruit. The B&B was the nicest of the...

My room overlooked Emmet Square, construction was taking place on Emmet Sq., Still my room was extremely quite. Bed was so comfortable as were the pillows; room and bathroom was spacious and exceptionally clean. Maureen looked after the car as parking was tight do to the street construction. Later when I asked for some change for the parking meter, she...

Maureen is the best hostess! We were all so tired from traveling for about 24 hours and Maureen absolutely welcomed us into Ireland with her whole heart. Our rooms were so cozy and just what we needed. Our breakfast was delicious and the town was so cute. Don't forget to visit the castle while you're there!
