We selected Cabra Castle as part of a cut-rate off-season package. The property itself is amazing, with unique rooms and lots of amenities. We were told it's extremely busy during the peak season, but in January we practically had the place to ourselves. We didn't have the chance to partake in golf or other outdoor activities on the property, but...

This is an amazingly beautiful place, everyone was so welcoming, and warm, and went go out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The room, huge, gracious, and well appointed, for the period of the castle, much history, surrounding you as you enter driveway, to the castle. The staff, food, and our stay was wonderful! and will be back...

I stayed in the Court Yard, so comfortable, clean, cosy, I wanted to bring the bed home! Food was 5 star, breakfast and wedding dinner. Great venue for wedding. If using google maps to get here please be aware it brings you in the back entrance and its confusing. Not enough signs. It says No Through Road but just drive...

Myself and my better half held our wedding reception in Cabra Castle and so, to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we decided to make the trip back. When booking a table, I happened to mention in passing to the receptionist that it was our anniversary and as soon as we arrived at the restaurant, the waitress congratulated us, which was...

After booking we read the many reviews and realised that we might need to adjust our expectations , which we did. We got a castle room and were disappointed , nothing like the photos, we were then offered a courtyard room, which was quite a walk outside on a cold night. It was only marginally better so we stayed inside...

My wife and I had the great fortune to stay at Cabra Castle last weekend. The Irish skies were gorgeous and blue which started our day off wonderfully. Upon arrival I was taken back by the beauty of the castle and the general setting. Whilst it is lacking in luvly gardens, it certainly makes up for in sheer grandiour. Being...

Castle is nice but we booked a cottage room thinking they were pretty cottages on the grounds. They are far from pretty cottages and just houses with rooms down the field away from everything, with no mobile signal and no wifi which at the price of a 4 star hotel in Ireland in 2017 just is not acceptable. The cottages...

We did a Castle/Hotel tour of Northern Ireland. Cabra Castle was out last hotel. It's a beautiful, old Castle with lots of history and charm. Our room was HUGE and the bathroom was lovely. However, we found the room to be so warm and stuffy, it was stifling! We opened all the windows, but because we couldn't turn down the...

Thank you for your review of Cabra castle. I'm sorry you found your room to be overly warm. Had you mentioned it to our staff we could have rectified the problem straight away by turning down /off the heat in your room. The beds used at Cabra Castle are made by Respa which is a very reputable brand of bed....

Attend a wedding here. Staff was friendly and the place was clean and tidy. Little creepy looking ,with all the dead animal heads and horns on the walls (just hope the animal heads were are not real ). I do know its a very old castle but a wall full a dead animal heads is very very creepy. When we...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I would like to apologise to you that you felt cold whilst at Cabra castle. We do of course have heating in our main ballroom and most definitely turn it on when we have a function from early in the day particularly at this time of year, therefore i cannot...

A group of 10 of us stayed here on Saturday night to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect. The rooms are beautiful - we were in the courtyard rooms which were all very spacious and comfortable. We have an area blocked off for us in the main bar...
