Hello Michelle,
We are located a ten minute drive from Cavan Town (not walking distance) there are regular buses that go from Dublin to Cavan and a taxi would cost approx €11 out to us.
there is no public transport available out to us.
There are plenty of lovey walks close by in the Killykeen forest park. so if you just wanted to relax and chill for a few days a car isn't necessary but if you want to go and about exploring you will need a car.
kind regards,
stephanie
