The hotel is conveniently located off the M1 in beautiful surroundings. The staff very nice. The facilities in the hotel were very good. The room was a good size. The food both breakfast and dinner was very good. I didn't get the opportunity to eat in the bar but the food looked amazing here with a better selection than the...

Lovely hotel with really nice leisure facilities and great food set in a lovely rural location but close to all amenities. Very generous sized rooms. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend for a short break.

A table for18 members, for a family celebration.. A dining room filled with about 130 people, of all ages, for lunch. The smoothest service, courteous, attentive and obliging staff, 8 in number, who attended to all tables with a smile and remarkable promptitude, in this "elegant gourmet restaurant". The menu choices were varied and the food delicious and served on...

We stayed in the Ballymascanlon the night after our wedding in co meath as it was on the way home. The hotel was great for a stop off, I must admit the rooms are quite outdated but was very clean and tidy. The bar when we arrived was full so there was no where to sit so we had to...

We were here for my 40th along with 6 of my family and a further 10 from my wife's side. Service all through the day and evening was very good, the food was plentiful - almost too much! The hotel rooms were a decent size although the shower wasn't powerful enough. Breakfast was excellent and there was refills of fresh...

This is one of the nicest places I have ever eaten. I recently went on a family trip and we are in the bar. Before the meal we visited the gorgeous proolek dolmen. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and worth a visit if you are at the hotel. Bar food was of the highest standard and the prices...

We held our wedding reception here and we can honestly say we could not be happier. Everything was perfect from the function room, meal, staff and Buffett. There is nothing that could be improved upon. Nothing was too much for the staff. Plus we had so many compliments from our guests it really made all the effort worthwhile

As all the other reviews said ,the hotel is to be recommended for the staff, facilities, food and rooms however nobody seems to have mentioned the Proleek Dolmen. We stayed at the hotel last night and before leaving this morning went to see the Dolmen, about a ten minute walk around the ground .It is truly impressive, although initially thought...
