Ballinsheen House is THE place to stay in Doolin/Lisdoonvarna, Ireland. Michael & Mary exude the typical warm charm you expect from the Irish. We Irish-Americans can learn from them! LOL The house is very comfortable with a nice, cozy feeling, and Mary goes out of her way to make sure you're enjoying you're stay with them, recommending tours, and other...

This was our return visit to Mary and her beautiful home at Ballinsheen House. Mary made us feel so welcome. Our room was extremely comfortable and lush with a huge bed and two cosy armchairs and a sleek and shiny ensuite - gorgeous! Breakfast is served in the lovely dining room which has wall to ceiling windows over the garden,...

Every area of evaluation is outstanding. Exceptional service and advice from Hostess Mary. If you stay in Lisdoonvarna you cannot beat this B&B. Recommendations to see the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren helped us greatly. Also, great recommendation to eat at the Roadside Tavern paid off with excellent food and drink.

I stayed with my wife two nights at Ballinsheen B&B while visiting Ireland and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Mary was extremely kind since the beginning, by showing us in a map all the "secret" places to visit in the region when we checked into the B&B. She also helped us make a reservation at a...

Mary Barrett and her husband have built, furnished, and lovingly enhanced the most lovely B&B at which we have ever stayed. Words cannot describe the thoughtful planning and detail that went into the Ballinsheen House and Gardens. The home is large and boasts several common lounge areas, both indoors and out. Our room was enormous, featuring a sitting room, views...

Our family of five recently had the pleasure of spending time at the Ballinsheen House. Due to a scheduling error, we were without rooms for the night. Mary made accommodations for us and even let our son (who was ill), check in to his room early to sleep for the day. This was easily the most beautiful property we stayed...
