We recently stayed in a 2 bed lodge here for a family break. We have stayed in a number of self catering properties around Ireland and were not hugely impressed with these lodges. The downstairs is completely open plan, with partial double height ceilings and a large glazed area. When we arrived the heating wasn't on and the place was...

Car park ...but no where to park. Shabby kitchen and bathrooms. Shampoo but no shower gel. Coffee but no coffee maker Uncomfortable sofas Possibly the noisiest plumbing in the world Beds were comfortable with lots of towels which is a nice touch. This place was a few tweaks away from being great but unfortunately fell short of acceptable.

Whilst the location and bare bones of the property is very good, it is in need of some tlc. Kitchen was clearly rushed with boiler and washing machine on display. A fresh paint and some additional light furnishings in the form of comfortable cushions and throws would really add to the property. There were a number of marks on the...

On the recommendation of many friends we took a mid week break in a mews at Castlemartyr. It was our first holiday with our 6 month old daughter. We needed to have all the self catering facilities to make sure we could look after our daughter and thankfully the mews have everything you need including a washer/dryer. The hotel is...

Had a few drinks in the hotel on the Friday and despite being very busy with a wedding on, the lounges were nice and peaceful. Ate in the hungry...

Apartments are gorgeous, welcome pack is a really nice touch. Loads of parking, apartments were warm and nicely decorated. Loved our time there and would definitely go back for another trip! Beautiful decking area in the back which would be amazing with good weather.

2 bed, 2 bath lodge. Couple with 12 month old for 1 week. Spacious living area with hardwood floor is great for kids. Good heating. Comfortable clean beds. Disappointed with the presentation of the lodge. Fit-out and quality of workmanship is average/poor – low quality kitchen & bathrooms, uncomfortable sofas, cracked floor tile in bathroom. Painting and finish is not...
