A nice inn, in the little village of Glenbeigh just next to the Kerry way. A great welcoming and kind staff, really appreciated it after a good walk. I'll be sure to come back with friends during summer!

I used The Sleepy Camel for one night while walking The Kerry Way. Now hostels are not my favourite form of accommodation but I used The Sleepy Camel to keep costs down on an extended period of touring and I was very happy with it. I consider it better than some B&Bs for roominess, service and value for money The... More

Stayed here in July 2016 when on the ring of Kerry route. Large and spacious hostel and all rooms were clean and in good condition. Large common room and kitchen with breakfast in the morning. Short walk to the pubs in the village. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again when I am in the area.

Stayed there only for one night in this lovely place. The village is nice and the place itself is clean, hospitable and nice. However I think that to be defined as "hostel" it should have a little bit of more character. The owners are helpful and I know it is difficult to run a place like this in the middle... More

Hi thank you for your review. It would have been very helpful to hear your suggestions on how we could add more 'character' to our hostel especially to our common room. At present we have 2 separate seating areas, access to 2 computers and a book chest to browse at your leisure. We also have a conservatory with seating and... More

The staff was nice and welcoming, and offers several services (BBQ, recreation room, etc.) while arriving. the room was quite big (3 beds instead of 2) and pretty clean. A small breakfast was included.

Well the word Excellent comes to mind, Phenomenal also does as well due to its unique location right on the Ring of Kerry, Price was awesome. Staff were amazing and really made the stay that much more enjoyable. Went to a local Irish football match which is a mixture of World Football, Rugby, and even Basketball. You just can not... More

The service is really welcoming and helpful. We called at last minute to see if there was any spot available, they told us no. But then they got a cancellation and the call us back. We really appreciated. Rooms are great, breakfast is provided and wifi works well. Great situation to start the Ring of Kerry.

The Sleeping Camel is probably the best hostel I ever stayed in. It's really spacious with small dorms and space to put your bags. It's super clean with plenty of showers and toilets. It has a lovely garden to sit in or hang washing. Lounge room feels like home and breakfast is plenty. Chris is the most helpful host and... More
