My daughter and I stayed here for one night as we were exploring the Connemara region. We were looking for a historic house to stay in and this is definitely it! Agree with the previous reviews that this is an elegant old house in a wonderful setting. Very quiet. breakfast was decent. we stayed here with our toddler daughter. this isn't a good place for young children -- lots of antiques and sounds easily transmitted between walls/floors. but this is no complaint against the lodge: it clearly states on the website...

Had a wonderful stay at Emlaghmore Lodge, hosts were so welcoming & the food was delicious! I could not believe how stunning the views were and have recommended this B&B to all friends and family, anyone who is interested in golf, walking, culture, fishing or just generally needs a relaxing break should pay a visit! Would have recommended sooner however...

Emlaghmore lodge,is elegant,unusual and relaxed.Situated in some of the most stunning countryside,with easy access to beaches, lakes and bogland.Really welcoming hosts,with great local knowledge. loads of choices for breakfast and who will cook you dinner, ( Nick Tinne, of Snaffles restaurant Dublin has not lost his touch) and will serve you off family silver, in a dining room surrounded by...
